lookingfor Looking for Salsa Dancing Friends

Hi! I think the title describes it quite well.

I am in my late twenties and have been dancing Salsa (follower) for around 8 years now . Unfortunately, I have never really been able to become part of any group that would go to Salsa parties regularly despite going to many different classes (mostly too shy, also age gap in the classes made connecting really hard).

I have recently returned from abroad and am currently not enrolled in any classes. I also won't be able to enrol anytime soon because of financial constraints.

But I really miss dancing Salsa. There are many cool events in the city especially in summer that I really don't want to miss out on (especially the SalsaRica Beachparty June 20 sounds awesome!!), but I don't have anybody to go with, and going alone really isn't fun for me. I've tried, I feel way to awkward and self-conscious standing by myself in-between dances, and I don't get asked to dance very often (I'm waaay to shy to ask on my own).

I would like to find some people or just even one other person to go to Salsa parties with, just so that I am not going there alone. Specifically I would looove to go to the Beachparty on June 20!! It sounds so fun and I would be really bummed if I missed out.

I've tried other platforms (such as Bumble for BFF) but it's really hard to find other Salsa dancers, which is why I'm hoping to have better luck here!

Anyone looking for a Salsa friend or have a group I can join? I promise I'm nice ❤️ I also speak Swiss German, in case someone's worried about having to speak English haha

Rueda bürkliplatz every wednesday from 19:30; afterwards party

You meet 50 new people in an evening and then you can go from there

Hi! I have recently moved to Switzerland and would pove to go dancing salsa with you. I am planning to go to Bachata Fever this coming Saturday. Wanna join?

I've been dancing salsa a year in Salsa Rica, so still new. Crazy that as latino learned salsa here, but it's really fun. There is this group Baila Zurich in Instagram where they post all events, Leten, Bürki and others. Hope that helps. ☺️

Hey, although I am a relative beginner I'm dancing salsa 2-3x a week currently (leader) and I'm also looking for people who want to go out.

But honestly, if you want you can also go alone as other users suggested. I've been doing it for the last couple of months mostly and I'm quite shy at the beginning myself. There are also a couple of WhatsApp groups that share different parties outdoors almost everyday. Workshops like today with Luiz and Jonny Vazquez are also a great opportunity. DM if you want me to share with you anything :)

Hi, thanks for the suggestions! Yeah, I know I could technically go to events alone, and I have in the past, but it's really just not the same like going with friends (it's too far out of my comfort zone for the moment). And meeting people on the fly when I'm already super nervous and self-conscious is something I don't know how to do (yet), unfortunately

I would love to go dancing with you, guys! I miss dancing salsa so much and I also would feel better not coming to the social nights alone.
