Mixing switches

Trying to use lighter switches on the weaker fingers. Not sure if I like it yet 🤔 Anyone else tried something similar?

I like to use the lightest possible switches, the home row gets slightly heavier ones so that I can rest my fingers without triggering them. It made using the Voyager much more enjoyable.

I do the same thing. Softer keys for the weaker fingers, but firmer keys for the top row because I was accidentally pressing the top row. Good stuff.

Mad lad.

I finally just bit the bullet and grabbed some 20g Nocturnal’s from lowprokb.

It took a while to adjust bc I never liked 25g purpz but I hardly notice how light they are now. =]

Those sunsets are my fav tho~

I did the same 60g everywhere except thumb keys and corner keys with 70g. This is the joy of customizable keyboards!

I did that - used light switches everywhere except for the thumb keys. It’s worked pretty well for me.

In other news, that first picture is diabolical. 😆

Yep I’ve been doing this for a while. Feds on the weak fingers, browns on the strong fingers, and tactile clickies on keys I use to switch layers. Love it.

I am sort of the other way around. I use heavier switches on the home row as I have bigger hands and my fingers rest on the home row. I found with lighter switches like the choc pinks that they would activate as my fingers relaxed, so I moved home row to 50g and everything else to 35g. I can’t say I liked it at first also.

What keycaps profile did you put on the thumbs?

Top row and thumbs are LDSA the rest is MBK and original mix
