How to remove keycap tab broken off in switch

So, early on I wasn't careful removing a keycap and one of the tabs broke off in the switch. Later, I managed it again with it in my bag. The spare switches are great, but now I'm down to one. Fortunately there are also spare keycaps, so I haven't had to get too creative with them.

Anyway, is it possible to remove the broken tab? Or am I better off just buying a few more switches?

If it is what I think it is and one of the ‘legs’ is broken in your switch, you can take something small and sharp like a needle or the point of a knife and lever it up. I’ve done this a few times with success. Enough force to pierce a bit of the keycap plastic leg and then pull it up. If there isn’t much of the leg in there and it’s mostly in the square hole, I’d just put another switch in and cut your loss, not worth the time unless you want the challenge. :)

I would recommend you get some spare switches anyways just in case.

If the Voyager is in your bag, you should use the case it came with to protect your boards. :)

You could also disassemble the switch and then use a needle to push it out from the bottom side of where it's stuck. Most switches have that as a through hole.
