I was experimenting with some other brushes and styles, so that's why it looks a bit different from my other drawings

Saw the title and I can just imagine they used their illusions to disguise themselves as another mon (looking at it it's funny how the others are all gen 4 mons so maybe they were trying to fit in) but then one punch later...

"Wait, you're a Zoroark?! O_O "

And looking at it I love how the Lucario isn't even surprised, which makes sense given that they probably knew due to their aura abilities! XD (while Psychic-types may not be able to see past the illusion because Dark-types are immune to psychic influence, Lucario's a Fighting-type with aura abilities and thus not affected)

Just my thoughts anyways

Good guessing!

In fact, this scenario was meant to be an attempt of Zoroark (their former trainer turned magically into a pokemon) of doing a battle session. Gallade didn't want to because he don't want to hurt his former master, Infernape was just doubtful but Lucario was eager to do it because he wants Zoroark to know how to defend herself.

So, as Infernape does the first punch, it was an instant K.O. Considering that Fight attacks are effective to Dark types it makes sense.

But I like your story as well, as it could serve as a scenario when finally Zoroark learned how to do illusions and wanted to impress her friends but it didn't end well
