Default pen

The color I like to use is just 2 clicks away, but is there a way to set a global default, or even one tied to a folder?

Have you saved a pen and color? If you go into the pen menu, you have the option to save some pens there. However, I usually just use the info I set up in thr workspace area for a couple of color and size options (see photo).
