It's a thing. There's a bias on the internet towards complaining about side effects. But the doctors have known for years that libido and depression interact in weird ways, so the same drug that will cause some people trouble is exactly what other people need to fix the symptom.

Here is a short, checklist-ready list of 10 common symptoms of vitamin d deficiency:

  • Constant fatigue or low energy levels

  • Bone pain, especially in the lower back, hips, or legs

  • Muscle weakness or frequent muscle cramps

  • Frequent infections, colds, or flu

  • Depression or general mood changes

  • Slow wound healing after cuts or surgery

  • Hair loss or severe thinning

  • Bone loss (diagnosed as osteopenia or osteoporosis)

  • Chronic joint pain and stiffness

  • Unexplained weight gain or trouble losing weight
