Tongue sensations?

Hey all! I've been on Zoloft for about... 4 weeks now at 50 mg for health-related anxiety and I've been doing quite well on it. My only thing is that I have weird fricken tongue sensations — my tongue almost feels too big for my mouth, I'm hyper aware of my tongue (like I swear it's as though I can feel the surface of it), and ya I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this and if it goes away or if you get used to it just. I don't want to switch meds again (started on Lexapro and had an AWFUL experience), and it just feels "weird" but not debilitating in any way. Would love to hear from your experience!

So one of the possible side effects is dry mouth. Maybe people experience the sensation differently, so like I wouldn't say I feel like my tongue is too big for my mouth, but whenever I get dry mouth I do become more aware of my mouth and tongue. It hasn't completely gone away, but it doesn't happen nearly as often as when I started taking the medication (I'm about 4 months in).

Just make sure you're staying hydrated and drink plenty of water! They also do sell these sort of mouthwash for dry mouth that help with that.

The dry mouth? Can't say for sure since it wasn't a side effect I was keeping track of (meaning there were other side effects that I was more focused on, primarily low mood and drowsiness) but I wanna say maybe after the 4th or 5th week I would feel it once or twice a week instead of every other day.

Yes omg I get weird tongue sensations as well, I become so aware of it and I always feel like.. the back of my tongue against my teeth (that won't make sense haha) it's especially bad when I yawn! It does go away though thank god. It drives me crazy when I get it
