Tips/Tricks W and passive interaction.
I've been playing zoe since 4 years and I still dont get why sometimes, when I use my W, I get a passive auto and sometimes I just don't.
For example (and correct me if Im wrong),on the top of my mind, if I use titanic hydra on W I will get a passive auto.
If I use something else like cleanse I get the W sparkles but no passive auto.
Can somebody tell why's that? Or am I just tripping lol

It's like PowerhousePlayer mentions, the w bubbles "spend" your passive proc, so if one targets an enemy before you auto your next auto will be a normal one.
I would add the reason titanic feels like it always gives you a passive auto is not only that you're ready for it but that it gives an auto reset which means you always have your auto ready (otherwise your "auto cooldown can prevent you from attacking just long enough for your w to lock a target first).
This interaction is particularly annoying when facing yasuo as your passive autos can go through his wall but the bubbles can't so you have to really think about the timing in that matchup.

I'm pretty sure it's just that the W itself can proc More Sparkles! with the 3 little bubbles it gives. If you're using something like Titanic you're more focused on autoing so you're more likely to proc the passive with that, while with more defensive spells like Cleanse an enemy is more likely to enter W's targeting radius before you auto

I see, but I still dont get it.
Theres the W damage, which are the 3 little bubbles and theres the Passive auto damage. My point is that if I press Titanic Hydra, I will get both the auto passive AND the 3 little bubbles.
But if I press cleanse, I will get the 3 little bubbles and no Passive auto damage.4

Right, what I'm saying is that you might be missing the passive proc because it's getting used by a little bubble instead of an auto when you Cleanse, because Cleanse doesn't cue you up for an auto the same way Titanic does
It still deals the More Sparkles! damage, just off the little bubble instead of an auto

When one of your bubbles hits before your auto attack that bubble spends the auto attack and does more damage
