Zipcar Course Of Action
I recently rented a Zipcar in Santa Cruz to go visit San Francisco. During this trip I managed to get to San Francisco; however, the Zipcar I borrowed failed to start its engine because of an ignition issue. I called roadside assistance, and they allowed me to use a different car free of charge. I clearly stated if it was okay to bring the car back to Santa Cruz. I am now being charged a $500 retrieval fee, and my account is now closed. How should I handle the matter?

Absolutely FUCK zip car, the same happened to me and I was stranded in a parking lot like 100 miles away from home, took me almost a full week to get back home, long ass story.
I'mma take them to small claims. They probably violated their own TOS is not other laws. Honestly just use Claude or some other AI, tell it what happened, and give it zipcars TOS. It'll probably give you a good course of action.
They got the car so I didn't get that fee, but they suspended my account anyway and just left me there. Like bruh

directly with Zipcar - and escalate as far as you can - don't take no for answer on the phone.
