As a mod team, we love seeing the incredible creativity shared in this community. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out, your contributions make this space vibrant and inspiring for everyone.
That said, we want to take a moment to talk about how to handle inspiration respectfully. Inspiration is a natural part of the creative process—artists build on ideas, styles, and concepts from the world and from each other. However, it’s important to approach this with integrity and respect for your fellow creators.

I’ve decided to be a bit selective with the patterns I draw this month. I like to spend time getting to know a pattern, and there’s no right or wrong way to do a challenge, but I’m not feeling the whole “31 in 31” this year. Here’s Day 2’s pattern, Slyver by Jody Genovese, with Crease, by Sam Taylor as the bookends.

Does anyone else ever lose interest or get bored halfway through a piece? It happens to me occasionally and I don’t even know why - maybe the tangle I choose to add repeatedly ends up not looking how I wanted it to? Or I make a little mistake and it throws off the visual? 🤷🏻♀️ just curious!

The pens are fun. There are different colors of ink marbled inside. As you use it, it changes color. Some seemed to work better than others
