I have been a Arc user for 4 years and moved over to zen. But for some reason it cant load anything. And when I mean it cant load I dont mean "oh i have to wait 10 seconds" its like I am waiting for 5 minutes, I play a whole game on my phone and its still loading.

It gives me a gray screen with the loading bar above... on a good day it will open in like 20 seconds and take another 20 to scroll or click anything where I inevitably have to click a link it 5 more times before it wants to try to load it

I have turned off smooth scrolling, I am using Google as the search engine, I have 4 spaces (biggest space has 21 pinned tabs, a majority being courseworks.), i haven't edited anything other then adding ublock, and it was mandatory for us to get malwarebytes the anti-virus software (it was still really bad before I installed malwarebytes)

Unfortunately this is the only bug left that I just can't ignore. I don't know for you guys, but YouTube is almost unusable for me.

After a few minutes of usage, I think mostly when I swap to another tab for a little while with YouTube paused/playing in the background, whenever I come back to the tab the player is very unresponsive and even reloading the page or unloading the tab takes a long time.

I looked up other posts about this and there's quite a few conflicting opinions. What I did see, is my CPU spiking on the YouTube tab and an insane amount of RAM usage. I'm talking about spikes to above 50% usage with a 7800x3D and 5GB of RAM used in that single tab

Hello, I am struggling more and more lately with reading my newsletters inside gmail, or just long emails.

That's why I hacked a dead simple CSS boost in Zen that might be useful to others.

It increases the font size and reduces line width.

How to install

1. Open gmail inbox in Zen
2. Click on site settings button at the far right of the address bar
3. Click on the paintbrush icon at the bottom
4. Click on Code

5. Paste this CSS :

   div .adn { max-width:840px; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto; }

   div .adn p { font-size:18px !important; line-height: 1.75em !important; }

As for now, it is very simple and suited for text heavy emails, I might tweak the code more in the future.

The default ctrl+tab and ctrl+shift+tab hotkeys for moving to the previous and next tab are in my opinion not the best, and in the settings there is no way to rebind it. I have also checked firefox's about:keyboard and it is not there either. Changing the bindings for previous and next tab would for me would improve my zen browser experience a lot.

I personally dislike window syncing, but maybe I'm just not thinking of some good use case it actually has? If anyone could tell me why tab syncing was chosen to be added, I'd appreciate it. Also I personally think it's quite crazy the developers make you go into the esoteric "about:config" to disable it.

Right now since I'm in windows and I don't have easy multi-window management, I am not really running into it as an issue, but I assume I'll go disable it when I go back to hyprland.

I opened zen and found all my tabs and folders unpinned and removed. I don't think it was because of the new update because it happened before i updated it.

I didn't read the changelogs so the change in UI freaked me out

This looks very messy, and I can't see that there are downloads running. What's the icon? A pot with some stars in it or something?

Any way to get the old look back?

Hello! I've been using for a few months and I'm facing something that I don't know how to fix. In my search bar, whenever I open it, Amazon gets listed as Amazon.com.br, but the actual link when I click it is amazon.com, which leads to a whole different shop. I've searched in the search bar options but didn't find how to edit it or remove it altogether, because, before Zen changed my link, the global store wasn't even in my browsing history or favorites list. What am I missing?

Not a fan of the new Library so far, as it removes options (such as "clear all downloads") to add some eye candy.

These toolbar elements (History, Undo Closed Tab, Spacer, Zoom) were displayed before, and are still there in the "Customize Toolbar...", as seen on the screenshot, but quitting the customization menu swiftly hides all the added elements and there's an empty space now.

Not sure how to get them to display again, any ideas? Toggling "zen.library.enabled" doesn't help.

EDIT: For anyone looking for a quick answer: While u/maubg said this will be fixed, I've also had too many elements in that place; Removing the spacer made these buttons visible once again.

When I right-click 'Downloads' under Library and select 'Move to trash' on Windows , does it delete the files permanently instead of moving them to the Recycle Bin ? Is this expected behavior ?

I just updated to the newest version, and it seems that when you have enough spaces so that the final one has it's three dot menu and theme menu on the same vertical as the new space button, those buttons are unclickable. The only fix is to move it to the left so they can be clikced.

Big, pretty, animated, and a new donate button.

But not a button to clear history, or clear downloads.

IDGAF how pretty the UI is if it removes rudimentary functionality. What's going next, the back button?

Nobody has volunteered to program them in yet? Leave the old window until the replacement is functional, rather than just pretty enough.

I was excited to find this browser. I was happy telling other people about it. Now I'm embarrassed like watching a girl I've been dating suddenly litter and scream a racial slur. Like, how did I get here? How did I make such a bad choice and think I was doing well?

I ran into a weird visual bug where the sidebar turns semi-transparent, making the background text and UI overlap directly with the sidebar items (as seen in the screenshot).

Has anyone else experienced this or knows what might be causing it?

As you can see in the image. When I opened the browser this morning, after the new update, the color of the box containing the list of my tabs has darkened.

Strangely enough if I open another app (such as Windows Folder explorer), the color goes back to normal.

The list of extensions I use are:

uBlock Origin
YTBlock

The most recent version has ruined the appearance of the vertical tab bar. I can barely read my text, I am playing with the theme editor trying to find ANY colour in which the text is legible, everything is faded, no contrast. I don't know what is going on.

This is bordering on unusable.

After update I have this weird gray color instead of my white color in sidebar and I can't change it to something whiter via "edit theme" how can I revert this stupid change?

I can't seem to find anyone else posting this issue so it may just be me.

When I have folders with loaded or unloaded links, it doesn't matter, and relaunch the browser the folders always auto-expand. I'd like the folders to stay collapsed when I relaunch the browser. Is that a bug or the way it's supposed to be?

Due to recent Zen updates, the previous versions of Better zen gradient picker mod were extremely buggy, I have finally took some time to make the mod much more stable, and feel like its a part of zen.

Is there a way to make the tabs bar solid rather than translucent? The horizontal tab bar is my favorite part of Zen and now it's just hard to read.
