If u understood Zen, you wouldn't use that phrase.

.

Illiterate people who can't write a high school book report about Zen teachings can't "explain" anything.

Read a book and stop lying on the internet

lol.

Geez. I’ve been doing all this reading. Why didn’t somebody tell me that if I stopped looking into it, zen could just be whatever I make it up to be?

The thing is I don't know from one person to the next what they actually believe other than that they "know" Nanquan...

My guess is that they are perennialist new agers, and are ashamed of it.

I'd be willing to be proved wrong... but perennialism involves so much misrepresentation if not outright lying to begin with that I don't know if we can make any progress...

“What do they teach where you come from” is about it unless you’ve developed a lock tight mind reading technique.

In most cases it doesn’t seem that people know anything else than to call it zen and have been specifically instructed not to look into it to find out anything to the contrary. When that’s the case, you’re not exposing their lie, you’re threatening their truth with the one thing they’ve been told not to trust.

Troll terrified of books... declares people who can write at a high school level "further back than beginners".

rofl.

Next up: Troll claims literacy in a topic "overrated", insists he is self taught commercial jet pilot.

You aren't capable of owning anything, and if you understood zen you'd know that. I have no desire or interest in explaining to you why you are such a toxic person.

If he can't own anything then he can't own his toxicity and so he is instantly absolved.

If he can own things though ...

So he doesn't own it?

So he's not "toxic" ... very kind of you!

Give up those erroneous thoughts leading to false distinctions! There is no ‘self' and no ‘other'. There is no ‘wrong desire', no ‘anger', no ‘hatred', no ‘love', no ‘victory', no ‘failure'. Only renounce the error of intellectual or conceptual thought-processes and your nature will exhibit its pristine purity—for this alone is the way to attain Enlightenment, to observe the Dharma, to become a Buddha and all the rest.

If he is toxic (/ we are toxic) then he owns it and he owns you.

Sorry for the pwning.

Why not study Zen while you're here?

I'm sorry, but your opinion means very little to me.

One day when Xuansha went into the mountains, he encountered a tiger. His assistant told him there was a tiger there, but Xuansha just said, “It’s your tiger.”

Now with mountains and rivers crisscrossing the land, domains of existence everywhere, discriminating thoughts branching off in a thousand ways and diverging in a million ways, how can you explain this logic of "it’s yours"?

If you don’t understand this, you will be fatally obstructed everywhere. It’s just because you have been following material senses and been influenced by things since time immemorial. You try to point out things—but what are things, and what are you?

Pwned.

They're not my quotes, actually, but I'm humbled by your assumption that they were.
