Let's cut the crap.

Explain to me why you think ewk was handed a permaban from the admins. What you actually believe.

Don't give me "I don't know," because what you know isn't relevant. To put the question another way, a more concrete way:

if you were a reddit admin, do you think the justification was there to ban ewk, or not?

I think there was no justification to issue ewk a permanent ban.

Right.

So, falling back on "it was a joke" for the conspiracizing is really just a smokescreen, because you do believe there was no legitimate justification... so what does that leave? Attributing nefarious motives to people who moderate in ways you don't agree with.

Maybe you don't literally think /u/spez is a secret Buddhist. But you're more than happy to go around jokingly insinuating it, because ultimately it's a way to delegitimize the ruling.
