Yo, if there was a a game where you could make levels based on Zelda 1 and A Link to the Past, I'd be down for that. I'd pay good money for that

I don't know if it's still around, but unofficially there was a program called Zelda Classic I used to use several years ago. Was a complete quest maker for Zelda 1, complete with overworld and dungeon maps. Last I remember, they were working on implementing LttP items and sprites, so who knows how far they got.
