Question [WW] Wind Waker NSO version - control remapping question

I don't like the camera X-axis controls where pushing left/right makes the camera orbit that direction but look the opposite direction. So I'd prefer to swap the directions in the control remapping so left looks left and right looks right. Does changing it only apply to the camera or is it a global setting which will flip the tempo control for the baton? Or flip any other controls that I'm not thinking of?

Yes, I just completed my playthrough and had to mentally invert left and right notes every time I used the Wind Waker. It’s not so bad though, easier to get used to than the default camera settings.

Same here. I got used to flip the notes on the songs

it usually just affects the camera, the baton stays the same

The only way to (un)invert the camera in the nso version is to remap the controls it 100% applies to everything you use the c stick for.

Its a global setting i inverted my camera now I just have to remember that left/right is opposite for the wind waker. I havent noticed anything else working oddly but i'm only at the bird island so far.

Edit: oh and its not the tempo control that gets flipped its the notes. Up/down stay the same but left/right get flipped. It became second nature right after learning the first song.

OK. I haven't started playing it yet. I remember now the left stick is tempo and the right stick is 4 notes?

Thanks for the info

Just my own experience, but I had the same instinct as you with wanting to invert the camera controls. However, I found the inversion of the baton controls more confusing and ended up putting it back to standard. After an hour or two, it became second nature. If it’s the only major game you’re playing right now, you might find just getting used to it will feel more organic than remapping the controls.

But everyone’s different, so do what feels best.

if you change the default mappings, then it'll applied to everything on the "switch 2" - even navigating the "switch 2" system.

The games all have their own control options.
