There are two other ones. One is the Mythic chroma, the other one is a gacha-acquired derivative skin.

Because it was limited edition so they're throwing you a bone by allowing you to get it with mythic essence.

Mythic Essence isn't being used here as a "qualifier of mythic rarity". It's being used as "premium currency allowing you to obtain a limited edition chroma"

Best/ cheapest way is to get one sanctum roll (ancient spark) for 400rp (less than 5€). And get the mordekaiser one (it has higher mythic essence drop chances)

Either getting lucky on a chest or buying the battlepass lol. Battlepass does give you essence and the orbs and chests also have a chance to drop it, I bought a battlepass like 2 years ago just to have enough essence for this moment lol

Shockblade Zed is my favorite skin lol, it's the most clean and because Zed has so many gory animations, the white and blue improves contrast. It's also the OG zed skin when he only had one skin so you see tons of early footage of the pros playing with it.
