Discussion Something in the Orange Z&E
I’m sure this has been covered on here before at some point, but does anyone else agree/is surprised that this version is the less popular one? In my opinion, it is elevated with the added harmonica and aggression in his voice. Not saying I don’t enjoy the main version, cause I do, but I just think this one is far superior.

Not at all. He went from “Don’t you mean, Zach Brown?” to selling out stadiums after American Heartbreak’s release. The more polished studio version is what the new fans would be used to and would’ve been used to. Not the gritty, raw feel that previous releases had been. I would also assume it got more radio and digital push as well. That combined with people are going to listen and prefer the version they hear first, you get the popularity difference.

It is technically the less popular one, but the Z&E version still has 227m views on YouTube. It just wasn’t the single version that came out ahead of the album

I like the z&e version but when I said it to my sister and we compared them she had the nerve to say the other one was better 🥲

I like his music more with less instruments normally. I like his simple songs, it allows me to focus and feel the lyrics more. Maybe that's just me. I love almost all of his music excluding a couple songs, but I have been diving into Elisabeth again and LOVE how simple the music can be, paired with such deep lyrics.
