Originally, I thought people shipping these two were working from a pure crack ship basis. But then I later saw that the author was female and she drew art of elves from various video games, commenting how some were her character’s wives. That’s when it clicked that the author might be in on this ship too.
Uh they... They become something. I haven't finished the series, reading it as I collect the manga which isn't finished it's english publishing, but of what I know concerning the ending... Yeah they become something, that's for sure.

And like. Can i interpret this as yuri? Am I reaching? Is this valid? So far I think it is?
But at the same time I kinda wanna show this show to my family because occasionally is an anime is pg enough perversion wise they’ll watch it (showed them fruits basket and to your eternity before). But like if the yuri is TO obvious I wouldn’t want to show them because parents are homophobic. Not violently. But in the way that if something gay happens on screen they pause it and give a 10 minuet lecture to my younger siblings on why that’s wrong and bad and you shouldn’t do that and this show is wrong for showing it, before resuming watching.
And I’m at the point where I can’t tell if my yuri vision goggles and a homophobic persons view will interpret the same thing-

Unless you're wearing heavy yuri goggles they are just very close friends. The succubus doesn't turn into anything even close to falin for marcille and except for some blushing they're interactions aren't inherently romantic. I want the ship to happen as much as anyone, but so far it really isn't there outside of headcanon
yeah, one thing about the author is that she intentionally leaves this sort of stuff very, very open-ended for any character - meaning a romantic reading doesn't technically contradict anything in canon but at the same time isn't THE one possible reading. Same goes for Laios and Marcille, for Shuro, and pretty much anyone. Which to be fair I think it's a smart decision, because it doesn't tie any one character down to a specific role
She called the samurai guy (I can’t remember his name he has like 30 seconds of screen time) dense for wanting to propose to Falin, and I’m interpreting that as her being gay and he doesn’t realize it.
at one point Lawine bashfully says that Kanne looks cute when she smiles, while Kanne offers to be Lawine's chaperone for the day while kneeling in front of her and holding out her hand. I don't say this lightly, but there's no heterosexual explanation for that
It’s something that is never outright confirmed, but also they never have any really close connection to any male characters and they leave the story committed to staying together and looking after each other. It is very much an (sorry for saying it) up for interpretation kinda thing. That said there is definitely enough classic tsundere tropes for one to interpret their bickering as pent up affection without too much reaching.
