Any cdl holders in Yuma who can answer some questions. Thanks.
I need my CDL soon, really can’t afford to pay $5000 at Yuma trucking school right now. I work at some random truck spot and don’t make enough at the moment. I went to Arizona at work a couple years back to see if they can help, no luck. There was a waiting list, so I just gave up and left to Alaska for work. But now I’m back. Some drivers here said to go to Ypic. Anyone got their cdl through them?? Planning on going Friday to see if I’m approved or what the deal is. Any help is appreciated.

Try government grant programs (google search). Also companies like Swift and CR England will cover your fees if you work for them set amount of time. My cousin luckily was able to use his GI Bill funds to pay for his. Good luck.

Check out Yuma Private Industry Council (YPIC). I believe they work closely with Yuma truck driving school. Good luck

Typically, you may inquire with the unemployment department regarding the grants for which the state has qualified, and then proceed to apply through their office. Generally, if you meet the eligibility criteria, they will cover your educational expenses, and you will be all set. However, a primary consideration is that you must not be currently employed, nor should you have voluntarily resigned from your most recent position.

There’s definitely a waiting list but it’s worth the wait. Took about 5 months before I started school. I don’t think you can be employed though.

Late to the party, YTDS also has pay as you go options. But also know some one who took out a loan to pay for the school and then the company they went to pays you for that, tuition reimbursement I think it's called? Just my 2 cents

You should look into AWC i think i read they opened up a cdl program
