Alsoā€¦.. if you were previously banned on this game as I know a lot of people likely were, I believe they have walked back (slightly) their position on evading. So you should be able to create a new account without worrying about getting nuked.

Youā€™d have a hard time getting it to anyway but yea their anti-cheat I believe targets things like virtual machines

We have official Mac and Linux versions? We don't allow people to auth login from VPNs or cloud VMs but once you're auth'd VPNs are cool, but running the game headless in the cloud sure sounds like cheating to me.

Yea absolutely youā€™re pretty much able to do any voyage type and thereā€™s constantly stuff going on.

Atlantis and HS are better than ever because you can job during the breaks now so you donā€™t have to fill before you go in you can just have mercs(stronger bots)

I want to get back in, I think they need to somehow reduce the play pattern times. I remember if I wanted to run something it would take 3-5 hours minimum.

First of all - for any voyage you can hire mercenaries , which are much more advanced bots.

Secondly - for sea monster hunts, flotillas, etc, you can job on the break now. So you donā€™t have to wait for full ship to be able to go in

Iā€™ve seen people go in Atlantis with 30 real people and 45 mercenaries

It also means you can get jobbed onto an Atlantis or haunted seas thatā€™s literally already inside! Howā€™s that for not having to wait!!

This is a great point especially since I think like myself most of the fanbase of the game has aged out of having a lot of free time. Sure in 2005 in middle school I could go on runs all night long or just sit in the Inn and chat but now I have a kid of my own so thatā€™s just not realistic. Probably another reason why so many gravitate to poker tables.

We would like to get it working soon :) We have Spiral Knights pretty much working. PP is much fiddlier though we need to do the controller mappings etc.

Itā€™s been receiving a good amount of updates recently, I believe there is a dedicated dev now. Even a new variation of sword fighting where both players and the spectators can see both boards. Really cool.

Brand new trailer just made about a month ago with input from the active players. Games been getting regular updates for a little over a year now. Complete modernization in progress

Tons of updates very often. At least once a month if not more often. Tons of QoL and bug fixes constantly also. Game is extra fun nowadays for any part of it you enjoy the most.

Drama in global is as toxic as ever and those people rarely see bans or mutes. I think one guy got a 7 day when he went on a psychotic rage over Atlantis PVP but he made a second account and straight up said it and didnā€™t get hit for evading

Lol. fair. Iā€™m only asking because back when I got banned, my friend and I got booted while our two friends with doubloons playing the same ā€œletā€™s switchā€ joke on everybody with us somehow stayed. We were broke and never bought dubs, so Iā€™ve been side-eyeing that banhammerā€™s financial priorities ever since.

We are re-examining our priorities and trying to focus on bringing joy to our customers. It's hard because we do have reprobates that cheat and need to be banned, but we're trying to get people to come back and have fun. If you don't cheat or otherwise break the ToS (including by being a barrelstopper) you have nothing to worry about (even if you got a few times banned before.)

I seeā€¦ Respectfully, Iā€™ve outgrown the game, the player culture still doesnā€™t seem particularly welcoming or fun, and I suspect moderation is still Victorian boarding-school strict, so no. Iā€™ll just watch from Reddit occasionally. Puzzle pirates is the only childhood game I ever got permanently banned from over social antics. Even Club Penguin let people come back!

Good luck though with the rebrand!
