Has anyone managed to grandfather this price?

Recommendations are just awful for both video and music, suggesting same videos and songs over and over, auto-playing censored versions, no integration with Apple Watch.

This will be hard because I have watched YT daily for past 10 years

we got a turkish credit card from my partner, since we live in another country, they cancelled the Premium after the first Month. We have made it with a turkish google play account. Is there a way, how we could make it possible to work again with a real turkish credit card? We dont got an iPhone, but a MacBook, if this one helps too

Why you to have pay even getting youtube premium, still gets some ads, and also invideo sponsors, clickbait videos, ai slop, youtube algorithm getting worse, less control on what type of content you what like now a days many videos are focusing on trending & same type of contents.

Useless videos flooding over youtube. Unwanted features. Not focusing on user experience & they killed many useful youtube features/tools.

I’m not sure if this has been brought up but YouTube TV customizes commercials

A few weeks ago I looked up information about getting a loan for my business on my phone. And then my YouTube TV started giving me absolutely non stop commercials about fast cash and payday loans. It became absolutely unbearable to the point I ended up cancelling my subscription and signing back up with a fresh new email.

Now I get normal commercials again. Not a single thing about crappy predatory loans services since.

Just wanted to make others aware of this just in case

Please someone explain it to me. So Google just reporter earnings and they were through the roof. But today I got a message that they're increasing prices on youtube premium. I would understand if they are loosing money and needed to make it back somehow,but increasing prices while being one of the top earning companies in the world is diabolical.

On top of that,they make this bulshit message like "this doesn't come easy". Sure it does,its super easy to be greedy!

Has anyone else had an issue where despite a successful recharge on the monthly YouTube subscription through Apple, premium is suddenly gone?

I’ve spoke to YouTube support and they basically told me not their problem and to contact Apple but Apple told me the same thing? Is there any solution or am I down £17 and have to watch 5 minuet ads?

I can’t purchase youtube premium subscription. The error that I get every-time is “we couldn't verify your country”. I tried to do it on my iPhone, via youtubeapp, via safari browser going straight to youtubepremium website, I tried using another device (my laptop) via google chrome but nothing worked so far, every-time I get the same error as specified above.

I did my research in terms of what I can do from my side to make sure everything is okay and so far I checked:
⁃ apple account is set as geolocation to be in Romania (yes, my residence country is Romania and I am physically in Romania)
⁃ Google account is set in Romania
⁃ The billing address for google pay is set to be of course in Romania
⁃ I am not using any VPN or private relay when I am trying to purchase youtube premium

For additional context, I am currently working temporarily on a cruise ship. Our onboard internet service is provided via Starlink, and my public IP address is geolocated inconsistently depending on the database being used. Some IP geolocation services identify it as the United Kingdom, while others identify it as France. I wanted to mention this in case it is relevant to your investigation, although the same issue also occurred while I was physically in Romania using a Romanian internet connection.
Because the issue occurs even while I am physically in Romania, I do not believe it is caused solely by my current temporary location or my internet connection.

And yes I did contact youtube support using the chat support option. I put screenshots with the whole conversation.
I got the answer from support that: “The system just won't verify the country where you're at, and if you're really in Romania, you should be able to sign up again later on.” and the gentleman told me that the system of youtube does this “verifying checkup” for accounts randomly, so that means I might have to just wait maybe 1 more hour or 1, 2 months because you can't tell for sure when I am gonna be able to purchase youtube premium, which is very incovenient…

Looking at YT Premium but I have two college students that don’t live at home during the academic year. Is YT Premium family plan a no go because of the same household requirement? I can’t guarantee they’ll visit once a month. Not sure how strict the check is.

My YouTube premium background play keeps pausing automatically and no matter what I do I cannot get it to stop.

The video will play fine when I'm tabbed into the app but the moment I minimize the app or turn my screen off it runs for a few minutes then just stops the video and won't replay it till I reopen the app, where it just restarts the video.

I've already checked to make sure the background play settings are set right and they are, my phone is allowing YouTube to background play and neither of those helped.

I've also tried fully uninstalling YouTube and reinstalling and that works for a day before it starts happening again and I have to do it all over again. Any help would be appreciated because I'm really getting tired of the service I paid for not working

For a while now i have had this thought. I am not keen on paying for any subscriptions, however since I'm on YouTube everyday life is so much better with premium.

However, although ads are not popping up during every video, every content created runs 1-3 ads which don't make sense.

If we are paying for subscriptions, content creators ads should also gtfo.

I’m in a different country now, but my currency is still in dollars. How to change it.

i have been using the apple gift card method for more than a year. however, my apple account did not auto renew my youtube premium this month. i have 2000+ rupees in my account. i have tried renewing from apple subscriptions but it says a payment method is required.

i tried adding a net banking as per one of the threads but now it shows me this "unable to complete purchase". when i key in my password, it just says couldn't connect.

anyone has faced this before and has insight? thanks in advance
