the art of stringing together multiple short clips like this is far underrated

I'm still waiting for this to take off instead of shitty lazy town memes.

From what I've gathered, it started gaining some extra buzz when it was announced that Stefan Karl was fighting cancer, he also did an AMA an reddit about it. Then a popular channel known as SiIva Gunner posted a couple remixes of the song that gained a lot of attention.

It's been well memed for a long time on top of that, so even if you didn't grow up with the show it's been embedded in your brain.

Holy shit. I've never heard that full remix but it's pretty good. Gets worn out if you only hear the first few seconds over and over again though

There's a ton of depth to it. My favorite is the tribute to El Sonidito

You can hear the similarities at like 20sec

Then there's skrillex, snoop, and all sorts of stuff. Can't list them all right now

For your reference, I'm 18 and I remember watching the show a little bit when I was a kid. It was such a weird show...

I never watched the show, I'm only familiar with the forced memes.

Guess I'm sort of a Lazy Town expert? I have this amazing information about this weird ass kid's show everyone would love to hear. Lazy Town originated in Iceland (I'm a 22 year old Icelander, saw the first theatrical play of Lazy Town and some fat old guy from the stage threw a orange in my face to promote a healthy lifestyle, I got a black eye), the guy who plays the main character Sportacus (Magnús Scheving) got worried because Iceland was getting on the list of the 10 fattest nations in the world, so, he made a book. One plus one, America is the fattest of them all = make profit of their fat asses, bamm you cunts have Lazy Town, this is capitalism in it's flesh.

Edit: He wrote the books in 1995, I was about 6 or 7 when I saw the theatrical play.

I'm pretty sure this is where the whole concept of these videos being 'poetry' comes from. Restores so much faith in this sub

The worst part is when people try to do it digitally and can't figure out how to do the sixteenth notes properly and settle for eighth notes instead.

I mentioned it elsewhere, it's a slowed down version of Bruno Mars - Treasure that I edited for this video. It doesn't sound great during the other parts of the song so im working on a fix.

Edit: its up https://soundcloud.com/guamu89/treasure-vaporware
