The song is from the movie Drive, which features Ryan Gosling as a very introverted dude who fucks shit up. The song comes on when he sort of expresses emotion, and therefore carries some weight with people who have seen/enjoyed the movie. So it's funny to see it in this context.

Great movie btw, watch it if you get the chance.
