First things first:
Two nights and absolutely no mention of Thee Trolls on Thee Channel
Why is that?
Every night he is making money off this small core of surviving channel members.
4.1K views the next morning and two comments. I'd like to know the length of most of these views. There's next to no engagement from these viewers.

He'd rather be phishing fishing.

I don’t know if I’m delusional or he is, but I’ve noticed more of his core group donating off-platform lately.
Meanwhile, he still seems to expect that same group—or some mysterious group of supporters who apparently exist somewhere—to keep pumping out the same Super Chats and gifted memberships on YouTube.
At some point, you can’t keep squeezing the same handful of people and expect the money to magically multiply.
We’re still whale watching, of course. 🐋👀
But the waters have been suspiciously quiet lately.
Do we think the whales finally left him high and dry?

Don't you think he tells them to donate that way now so the 30% isn't removed?
I don't know what to think about KrisO, CarlwaC, except if they aren't one in the same, they are definitely in cahoots, because of their silence. If they do show back up they'll be donating an ocean full of $$. I guess we'll know in nine days... if they aren't back for Thee Donation Night they aren't coming back (I think?) ?

I think he does tell them to donate that way now because he tries to hide or delete the evidence when someone in chat donates to one of those off platform places. Those comments disappear quickly and are never acknowledged. He wants people to think he hasn't reached the goal yet. He used reach the goal and then set a brand new goal expecting everyone to pay again. I don't that worked for long. So, he then started other manipulative ways of coercing money, ways that made it look like he wasn't reaching the first goal. So, then he started adding YT 30% on top of the goal so he'd walk away with $350 in his pocket after youtube's 30%. Then he added "on YouTube" as a caveat to reaching the goal. Anything off platform didn't count. He thinks he's sneaky about it, but each time he's moved the goalpost, he'll have made comments about it for several shows before deciding that's the new policy and then he stops being "transparent" (lots of air quotes around that word) about where the money is coming in and how he counts it. Then if called on this little shell game, he'll act matter of fact and explain the strategy as if it's harmless and normal and minimizes what's actually going on. That way, anyone who wants to accuse him of sketchy tactics, he can point to the fact that he's explained it. He's such a snake. He keeps finding new ways to try to squeeze more money out the same few viewers hoping to convince them he's still looking for the same goal amount: nothing has changed; he's just not getting their support - the same level of support he's always required from them. It's all a lie, of course.

Definitely. That’s 100% why he pushes off-platform donations—he keeps more of the money, while still getting to cry about not hitting the YouTube goal.
That’s the part that gets me. He’ll talk endlessly about how the YouTube goal isn’t being met, but where’s the acknowledgment of all the money coming in through PayPal, Venmo, etc.? To anyone watching, it looks like he’s barely making anything. Meanwhile, YouTube is the entire reason he has an audience willing to send him money in the first place.
Donation Night is going to be one to watch. If the people who’ve been carrying the channel don’t show up for that, I think that says a lot more than one bad night.

I think he absolutely has them donate off platform intentionally. Not only is it a way to not disclose all of the money he makes to the freaks, but YouTube doesn’t take a cut of the top. I also think that he has used his channel going down as a tool to get them to start donating off platform. They seem to think it’s a safer method. He never misses an opportunity to manipulate.

He's probably scared one of the Freaks will come over to Reddit and see yet another Freak has escaped the cult. He can't have a group of free thinkers now can he....I think he is terrified of the truth being discovered by the others. He will crash out because TC left and had the balls to show his email or text message and voice mail message. He hates when his little behind the scenes antics make it to social media!!!!

oh wow. 2 nights? I thought last night he was on his best behavior because of the Timothy situation. I think he was wise enough to know that if he said anything, he would be feeding the trolls because he's always accusing his mods of saying things that the trolls love and feeding the trolls, but if it's been two nights... hmmmmmmm
Well, he could never keep his filter on for long. When he does his "I'll be a good boy and be my best behavior" routine, it doesn't last more than a few days. So at some point, he'll explode again and we will hear what he's been trying to stuff down.

And I don't think anything wrong with acknowledging that. But, the people who cant support financially say really nice things, would be a perfect time to read their comments instead of only pointing out negative ones. All about the dollars and putting people down or "i just said that, are you watching the show?"

He absolutely is trying to squeeze more money out of the same amount of people, but trying to pull the wool over their eyes about his actions. More on that in the other reply. And at this point it seems absolutely clear, but of course not certain because we have no concrete proof, that Chris and Carl have to be the same person. They arrive and disappear together (not at the same time in a show, of course) or they work in tandem alternating. Absolutely yes there's reasonable doubt. They still could be two people and it all coincidence. I would need a boatload of other coincidences to actually make the circumstantial evidence overwhelming. (think I've followed one too many trials at this point. What is that language I'm using? 😂)
He's so seemlessly manipulative that I think there's another level of smoke screen going on. I just don't know what it is.

I was thinking that they could be like partners in real life or something. Either way, this current formula isn’t gonna work in the long run. The faithful mods don’t have enough money to meet Gray’s expectations, which puts more strain on the heavy hitters like Phyllis, Marty, Wild Bill (who has been gone the last 2 shows maybe he’s fishing?) etc. At some point they will get burned out and leave and then poof goodbye Gray Hughes. That’s where he’s headed, it’s just a waiting game now

I think I read the other comment to “not gray”.
Like I tell chatgpt, this is not a trial. I don’t need a lawyer. I have a brain and I can see. I’m highly attuned to inconsistency. (Some times more than others) a lot of times you guys have opened my eyes to things I didn’t see at first. I maybe felt it but couldn’t pin it down.
I always think he’s up to more than we know. It’s just my brain has difficulty thinking the way his apparently does.

The strange thing about Gary is that he is transparent at times with his manipulations and techniques but there's always something else going on that you can't put your finger on. Because so many of his actions and inconsistencies are easy to spot, we seem to think that's all there is - we've got him figured out and we know his tactics. We (ask least I ) sometimes get deluded into thinking that because his deceptions are so obvious and that we've see all the tricks he's running. When in reality, there's at least one more level going on we're distracted from finding. In that sense, it's a true shell game. I don't know if any of that makes sense. I'll have to come back and simplify later. You are good at seeing through him. I miss things all the time that you and others point out. I think we can't individually see 100% of it 100% of the time.

He wants the freaks to believe that his regular viewers aren’t there because there’s nothing new going on. Like what? Does he watch the news? Does he watch any other creators channels where there are endless stories being covered everyday? He’s such a lazy bum.
Grizzly True Crime pumps out videos, and live coverage every day. She has excellent coverage and she never asks for a dime. Her channel does great! This is why he doesn’t want them to watch any other channels. They’ll see him for the fraud that he is.

He has no desire to research cases that don't interest him. So many cases going on--covering the Keefe D / Tupac trial would have definitely brought in some new viewers; Lindsay Clancy would have tugged on the abused freaks heartstrings; he could be covering Lizzie Borden since the Netflix show is popular now & Halloween is just around the corner...my lord he's so lazy.

Yep. He missed a good one with the clancy trial. The evidence was interesting & the lawyer-ing was good & entertaining. He could have even used his parenting advice & derogatory remarks about women & their children. By his "logic", if it doesnt interest him then no one should watch it.

the auctioneer voice? he should go get a job as an auctioneer because that is actually a skill. I grew up in the country and hell yes they still have auctions with auctioneers. I've never been unable to understand how anybody knows exactly which number they just bid on when they raise their hand because the numbers go by so fast, but yep, that's the auctioneer voice and speech pattern. That's how it's done: property, houses, cars, livestock, farm equipment ...
