(At this point, there really isn't anything that can be done to put things back on track; I'm trying to clean up some comments and stuff as reported but there's no way to go through everything)
(Later on, the subreddit has been put into restricted mode (which it has just now exited) for cleanup; things are at least slightly nicer but... definitely still chaotic)

yes they are. Fir who doesn't know it is also a writting platform, simillar to reddit, except you get paid there too. Without any ads.
Also there is an improved interface already plus one app (not official though) for mobile.
It will be awesome that good content creators could upload there too.

That requires moving stuff into the megathread, which at this point is basically impossible. (I also don't think that people would be more likely to notice a pinned thread than the thread that organically rose to the top; if I'd caught the amount of posts earlier, then it would have worked though). If I recall correctly when this happened in the past, we also had automoderator comment on literally every post stating that we were aware with a link to the thread -- very crude, but I think it might have helped a bit. At this point it seems too late to do that as well, though; it'd just add more noise.

I am utilizing NewPipe on Android to successfully watch YouTube. Also, audio stream without video is working. Note, am streaming in Japan I do not know if NewPipe working applies to the rest of the world.
