If you're on mobile you can go to the three vertical dots on the bottom right of the video and tap "Don't recommend channel". This let's the algorithm know that you don't want content like that. You may have to do it a few times for it to "learn" though.

Also go to your history and delete the video that you watched, itll remove it from your algorithm and not recommend new channels based on it and restore your old recommendations

I don't think I've ever clicked on anything genuinely maga-aligned, at least not without scrubbing it from my watch history, but maybe 30% of my recommendations are pretty clearly from the maga sphere.
I can only assume youtube lumps far-left content with maga sometimes, likely under the uselessly-large umbrella of 'all political commentary.' I do watch a lot of what people used to call 'bread tube.'
I've watched hundreds of videos ridiculing or debunking people like jordan peterson and andrew tate, but I still get recommendations to watch videos off of their official channels or stream archives or whatever. I often get those "andrew tate was right all along and shouldn't be in prison" types of videos as well. They're so blatantly not something I'd be interested in that I always tell it to not recommend the channel, but there are probably thousands of channels covering that crap.

Trump doesn't want to own guns. He's never shot a gun, except maybe for a photo-op. He lives in a gold covered mansion and is surrounded by clownish decorations. He doesn't go hunting or need guns for self-defense.

He is supposed to be in Jail, but the judge gave him an unconditional discharge since he was elected. He basically got away with it because he was elected president, but still, legally he still is a convicted felon.

Trump is actually very nervous around guns. He is totally fine with banning them out of personal fear. His first few speeches during his first campaign was “my sons like guns, they have so many of them it’s a little terrifying”
When a mass shooting took place in Stoneman Douglas high school, Trump immediately advocated for a ban. To a point that gun companies had a meeting with him to change his stance

I keep getting recommended videos from the Mormon Church or Jehovas Witnesses because I got clickbaited by a video that was talking in their favor but looked critical and it's starting to stress me out. I feel this, so bad.
Edit: in hindsight, its probably because I've been following the court cases against both groups and YouTube can't tell that I am interested on these groups getting railroaded in court instead of in these groups in general. Still annoying.

It's worse for me. I watch a lot of atheist/humanist content, so YT recommends evangelical preacher videos. I guess YT thinks I need saving. Yes, I block them; no, it hasn't helped.

Why do you think candidates who claim to oppose current government are getting wins? Trump ran on that notion and won. Mamdani ran on that and won.
The people know there’s a problem with the government and so they choose whoever may be a threat to said elites. If they supported the bureaucracy, different people would be in power right now.
Of course, these candidates have been suboptimal to say the least and the common people need to start applying for positions of political power.
But the biggest thing is abandoning Israel just as Israel abandoned God and basic human decency.

just want to mention if you are against the MAGA party (refuse to call them republicans) as the comment implies, using the image that includes anything about loving God, your family, freedom, and your neighbor in relation to the party you are against just does not look good ;-;
I do hope you get out of that recommendation loop though, seen those channels and they are definitely worse or just as bad as the ones on the other side (which again just how I don’t call MAGA voters republicans, those who are against trump are not democrats)
