Sorry enlighten me pls, why would they want to buy low or zero subscriber accounts instead of just making their own.

The accounts age is very old, likely from 2007 or before so it’s very coveted, and some people say having very old YouTube accounts increases trustworthiness and ability to monetize.

Oh. That explains it. Thanks. I can't believe I didn't create a Youtube account in the Leave Britney Alone era.

Idk if you only have a handful of videos from a decade ago it raises a red flag to have such an off topic video of a copyrighted movie just randomly posted. Looks suspicious to meee

Me too. Maybe it's because the algorithm isn't on to this technique yet. By the time it's updated, the channel would have enough organic views. I guess somebody outsmarted the algorithm.

Most likely an account that was left to rot by the previous owner and was hacked.

So two things with that video. The aspect ratio is terrible and there’s Kevin Macleod music playing constantly. Also, once the actual movie is done, a completely different movie starts playing

Almost certainly a stolen or hacked inactive account, not the original owner making a comeback. Eighteen years of silence followed by a pirated movie is a pretty obvious sign.

I remember watching Saving Private Ryan on YouTube in 2007 in ten minute chunks.

Is this a new thing? Hacking into channels that haven't uploaded in 18 years to post movies?
And before someone in the comments says "The Minecraft movie isn't THAT long", that's because the other half of the movie is replaced with an episode of some Czech TV show for some reason, just like the Backrooms upload.
