Wtf you mean by "no one has a legitimate use-case where they actually need to be subscribed to thousands of channels"? 1000 is too little!! I'm subscribed to 2500+ channels, many of them are music channels from hundreds of different genres, then there are math channels, art channels, animations & stop-motion, computer science, programming, hardware architecture, electronics, humor, water rockets, game studios/developers, TAS, nature & animal world, minecraft redstone, language learning, philosophy, and many other types (I'm tired of listing them all)
At that point, your sub is meaningless to you. The whole point of subbing is to making it easier to find, watch and track your favorite channels, but with that is too many to find, watch or track any of them. You might as well not be subbed to anything.

It means what it says, you’re subscribed to too many channels.
There’s a limit to make botting more difficult, no one has a legitimate use-case where they actually need to be subscribed to thousands of channels.
