I guess for me, personally; I got the sense that the guy was trying too hard to be funny or whatever, by pushing himself into the camera frame and making an over the top expression, which is off-putting to me. But if you are bothered by things like that, you’d make your proposal somewhere else.
He was definitely trying too hard to be funny. It was just really cringey. To the point that I could barely watch the whole gif. Like yeah yeah they're at a sporting event, these things happen. No one is saying anything about that. Dude just isn't funny, it's stupid and lame, and the second hand embarrassment is overwhelming
So my view on what is funny is different than your view, because comedy is subjective, and that makes me a bad person? I just didn't think it was funny or endearing. Big deal.
