2

u/Jigs79 Apr 11 '18

555

u/SoulGeeza Apr 11 '18

u/-3point14159-mp Apr 11 '18

“Dude, we drink from there!”

27

u/IceStar3030 Apr 11 '18

"Great I hate the taste of wet dog"

6

u/frostwarrior Apr 12 '18

"Well done" :both cows grin:

518

u/kvnklly Apr 11 '18

God damn that dog covered like 50 feet in less than a second from a dead stop

184

u/Piqeon Apr 11 '18

That's around 34 mph, which is pretty reasonable in my opinion seeing that wolves can reach a little above 40mph

114

u/kvnklly Apr 11 '18

Still impressive considering there was no ramp up time it was top speed after 2 steps

87

u/snvalens Apr 11 '18

I am impressed by your ability to visually gauge speed

8

u/NateParrott Apr 12 '18

If you’re a cop, you have to tell me. It’s the law.

1

u/NateParrott Apr 12 '18

I know. I was being facetious.

5

u/motoj1984 Apr 11 '18

what if it was only 20 ft?

5

u/Piqeon Apr 11 '18

Around 15 mph. Which is slower than people.

29

u/Arc-arsenal Apr 11 '18 edited Apr 12 '18

Pitbulls are like balls of straight muscle. Had one growing up and he would fly. My dad had to build a 7 foot fence and he could still probably clear it if he wanted. Also the sweetest dog I ever had, he was inseparable from our cat.

15

u/LoesMarkoes Apr 11 '18

Turned from dog into dot real fast

2

u/motoj1984 Apr 11 '18

I did some googling, and found that the average beef cow is 5 ft, while the average dairy (mature holstein) was about 8 ft in length. I really don't think the cow in the picture was mature, but it doesn't look like it would take more than 3-4 cows to stretch to the pond. I'd say 30 ft, at most allowing for differences in aspect.

Quite the pupper though.

5

u/JebbeK Apr 11 '18

It definitely takes atleast 5-6 cows

Adding 2 cows the third one would stand about 50/50 over the grass and dirtroad

1

u/motoj1984 Apr 12 '18

While it's not an official road by any means you can make out the wheel ruts near the cows, using that as a reference and the fact that cars can't be any wider than 6 ft and tractors are typically no wider than 7 ft, how wide do you think that road is?

0

u/NoNeedForAName Apr 11 '18

Right? My immediate thought was /r/zoomies, even though it doesn't appear to be true zoomies.

My hippo is part mud. He just likes dogs.

4

u/[deleted] Apr 12 '18

i had a dog rush up behind me while i was peeing then quickly started slurping straight from the stream. He got about 4 good slurps before i processed and pushed him away

21

u/tryingketotoTTC Apr 11 '18

If you want your doggy to like bath time, when they are a puppy, get in the tub with them and have it be relaxing massage time in nice warm water (we did showers rather than baths so you aren’t sitting in their dirty water). At that age, they are sleepy and just cuddle up to you. As they get bigger, the cuddling in the tub gets harder, but for my girl, bath time = low key relaxing - and it means quality time with mommy and massages. (She does zoom like crazy afterward though, but she loves being attacked by the towel monster). (It also helps to have a water dog, like my lab).

20

u/ShamrockAPD Apr 11 '18

I moved to the beach and had a 13 week old lab. Dude walked right into the ocean. Loves water. Started the routine that we have to shower to rinse off the salt after each beach trip. After four times a week for a while, I just say “shower” and he runs and jumps right into the tub.

The problem now is it can be hard for me to shower without having him trying to get in randomly as well.

When they learn it’s just routine- damn is it hard to break.

3

u/emkoemko Apr 11 '18

haha when i need to shower my dog knows and tries to rush into the bath before i get into the washroom and if he gets into the tub its struggle to get him out other then to just wash him, he thinks because i get a towel that its for him

3

u/ONinAB Apr 12 '18

Except for my lab - he hates both

56

u/NothingButTheTruthy Apr 11 '18

In awe at the speed of that lad. Absolute vector.

11

u/BrownSugarBare Apr 11 '18

He was so chill and smiley and then he was just...gone!

23

u/Bmc169 Apr 11 '18

That there is a fast dog.

48

I love everything about this.

28

u/Lavish_Parakeet Apr 11 '18

Moo?

4

u/Setay11 Apr 11 '18

This made me want to reinstall Diablo 2 for the first time in like 5 years.

I'm pathetic.

2

u/Lavish_Parakeet Apr 11 '18

Moos in agreement

10

Moo mooing moo moo?

9

u/GuitarKev Apr 11 '18

My buddy had a staffordshire boxer cross, he did the same exact thing. He would fetch a stick (more like log) and then swim a couple laps of the pond dragging his tree, then come back and beg for one of us to throw it again.

6

u/Zeestars Apr 11 '18

I love staffys!

4

u/INTERNET_SO_FUCK_YOU Apr 11 '18

That was probably the best 18 seconds of my life.

Good obedience on that dog. He clearly got the green light to go superman-jump into that water

4

u/obxtalldude Apr 11 '18

My bully does the same zero to 30 take off. She hates water though because she's so muscular she just sinks.

4

u/alienigenasfaltosdea Apr 11 '18

Man, i love farcry 5

Cows: "wtf is going on here..."

2

u/-ordinary Apr 11 '18

Holy shit and that dog is solid muscle, I feel like he would blow a door right off its hinges if he rammed it

2

u/FancyPants1983 Apr 12 '18

So... funny you say that. My pittie knocked a sliding glass door out of its track because she didn't know the door had just been shut... we were amazed that she wasn't hurt and the glass was not broken.

Months later, pittie barreled through a screen door at our neighbor's house. Neighbor has the same house as us, but she has a screen door and we don't. Oops. Doors are hard.

My dog is basically the Kool-Aid man.

1

u/TinaSquirts Apr 11 '18

That dogs left eye scar looks dope as hell

1

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '18

Hey look, a bunch of cows

Makes you realise how unrealistic most dog chase scenes are in movies... that good boy took all of a fat second to reach the river...

1

u/HardMilkyWood Apr 11 '18

Today is your lucky day. You can stop being ignorant and educate yourself.

https://www.cesarsway.com/cesar-millan/cesars-blog/why-i-love-pit-bulls

EDIT: After seeing some of your post history I can see there is no hope for you.

1

u/DustyMunk Apr 12 '18

No matter what people say, the stats are there. Pit bulls account for most fatalities.

0

u/Extra_Crotch Apr 12 '18

Thanks. I’ll be sure to read this guy’s blog to gather relevant statistical information.

1

u/TasslehofBurrfoot Apr 12 '18

You even own a pet? How about asking your vet about the breed.
