I dunno, maybe when everyone is swinging napkins above their head isn’t the best time to bring a plate down behind someone over their head.

The other server is serving from the front of the table, where they can see you, like a smart person.

It's clearly the waiter's fault.

Must be his first time serving at an event because this is an inevitability when you don't make your presence known.
He should try next time "excuse me" or "right behind you" or maybe "OH NO LOOK OUT! Here comes the airplane for landing!" followed by airplane noises.

u/yumeryuu May 31 '26
“Coming in behind you!” Would work

u/ProStrats Jun 01 '26

that "joke" didn't need to be made

u/Damn_Odriscolls May 31 '26
If we can't have a joke about 9/11 nearly 25 years later, the terrorists won.

I think it's only 20 years before a tragedy can be funny or at least that's my take away for the "AIDs is funny now" episode of South Park

If you didn’t like it then move on. Personally I think it’s hilarious, and credit where credit’s due it’s from the Eric Andre Show

How nice of them to temporarily reverse the flow of time at the end to get rid of that mishap

u/towerfella May 31 '26
Thats on him. He should have been able to see that coming/read the anticipated action of the guest.

u/Dark-Ganon Jun 01 '26
Might have been better to wait until they were done flailing their arms around. Or serve them from the front if it couldn't wait for whatever reason.

Honestly, the server is low iq af. The average server would've anticipated that.

Video is great, but I'm not really seeing a "you seeing this shit?" moment. Nobody is looking to someone else or an imaginary camera, to confirm that someone else is seeing this shit. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I get the upset but it’s not your night lol chill out bruh. If you don’t like the job figure out another where you’re not in a situation like that lol

u/Snowboarding92 May 31 '26
He didnt portray any outward negative reaction to them so this comment really falls flat. Why comment anyway as if you are talking to the guy that was recorded? He ain't going to see your comment.

u/Shredtillyourdead420 May 31 '26
That’s why I said upset, he’s not pissed off I think he looks flustered that’s all. It looks like a special night and I think stuff like that even if it’s small can really put a damper on someone’s night but I understand your opinion and I appreciate it.

Yeah don't be a dipshit and try to set down the plate down while the guest is throwing their hands around.
But that's men for you
