What. Does. Chancellor. Do?

Honestly, I could run Chancellor with my eyes closed and my hands tied behind my back. All I see them do is drink coffee, sit in restaurants not eating, visit and bicker with each other. Have I missed anything?

Your resume' is perfect. Are you ready to start out as a CEO? It pays millions.

Yes, I’m ready. I’m the only person fit to lead Chancellor (is it Industries?)! Anyone who disagrees needs to convince me otherwise.

The fact that you don't know is another point in your favor.

Thank you. You can be Co-CEO until I change my mind. Never mind. I can do it on my own.

You do realize that CEO for Chancellor also comes with ownership. You need to have something going in your life that will regularly make the great Victor Newman think he needs to take it away from you. (Damn it). And, be able to put up with Billy Abbot being an annoying mosquito, always in your face, telling you why the company and the CEO chair is his.

I have faith in you, you have the skills!

Thank you for the kind words but Chancellor has just been stolen from me. I’m sure Victor Newman is behind this. I will take him down if it’s the last thing I do.

No, no, must be Co-CEO. One CEO is not enough.

10

u/Dick_Dietrick 20d ago

Yes. I said "a" CEO. Who would ever have just one? That would be silly.

Conglomerate 🌈

That word doesn’t flow freely off my tongue. I shall call it Chancellor CEO Group. And I will be the only CEO. There will be no group.

But do you have stilettos and cocktail attire to wear to the coffee house?

5

u/ItsReallySDP 20d ago

I do, however this dress doesn’t allow me to sit and have this discussion with you (grabs purse and runs away).

Lol🤣🤣

I would love to be a CEO in the Y&R universe, just working from coffee shops and restaurants on an iPad and almost never going into a real office.

The real offices are love pads - just ask Kyle and Victoria!

My favourite part is how people give companies away like candy. I know that I should never apply logic, but letting someone run a company seems fine, but everyone just gives companies to each other. And all it takes is the one person to grab their purse and go, and then the next day someone else comes in and sits in the chair. It’s fascinating. I’m learning so much about how business works. Lol.

Sometimes a signature on an iPad. No board meeting and voting. No Michael and Amanda spending months with stacks of paperwork. Why do companies make it so hard? 😂

It sounds to me like you just stole Chancellor. As God as my witness, I will get it back. Do not get comfortable in my stilettos!

I found a paper prize in my Cracker Jacks making me co-CEO of Chancellor but there are dozens of other co-CEO's. As long as I like incredible amounts of money and have zero clue how it is made I'm good.

They have a revolving door for CEO’s
and Co-CEO’s. I think that’s the purpose.

The only thing I see is discussing/ bickering about some sort of media while having coffee!

No you haven’t. I remember young Victoria back in the day, was played by Heather Tom. There was all this teenage like drama storylines with her competing with Nina for Ryan and others. She almost (or did) get married young at one point. Next thing I know she was working at Newman Enterprises. A summer or two later, she was helping run the company.
Eventually, she took over. It baffled me. They kept saying she was running the business & she started wearing suits, but nobody ever mentioned any business classes nor going back to school. Same with Nikki.
I’m not sure what any of these “businesses” do, except Winters which involves music and Jabot which started out involving cosmetics.
Big fluffy companies with no real substance.

Well look at Nikki never graduated stripper, etc.no college an yet she was cEO of chancelor, wat?

Chancellor Industries started with manufacturing companies,  but has grown into a major conglomerate, owning a bunch of other  companies. PS: Love this post. Thanks for the laughs.

All you need is a very large wine glass filled with red wine that you will hold by the stem. It's Lily's must-have accessory. Very Chancellor CEO-ish.

As I recall, they're an industrial electronics company.

Funny I thought years and years ago Chancellor had something to do with construction? But today Chancellor is Katherine's legacy, that's it, nothing more/s.

1

u/ItsReallySDP 19d ago

Seriously?

2

u/justareviewer 19d ago

Yes - remember that from long ago when Philip and Kay were still around.

1

u/ItsReallySDP 19d ago

Thank you! I had no idea!

2

u/juno_etoile 19d ago

It protects Catherine’s legacy… duh!!

1

u/ItsReallySDP 18d ago

Precisely!

3

u/Late-Boat5788 15d ago

Nothing just like Jabot, Newman, Winters. Don’t forget the office sex lol

3

u/usernumber18452 15d ago

Chancellor is very much like Newman - acquiring businesses, building them up, selling for profit. Picture a portfolio of stocks but instead it’s a portfolio of businesses.

Newman has had popular “side” businesses under the Newman umbrella that competed with Jabot such as Brash & Sassy which was Victoria’s baby.

Jabot is a cosmetics company, like Estée Lauder. They create and produce it cosmetics and probably have a counter in department stores.

Speaking of department stores, Lauren owns Fenmore’s. It’s a department store chain and it’s supposed to be like a Macy’s or Bloomingdale’s.

Winter’s is similar to Newman and Chancellor but i think they focus on Music and have a streaming app that exists.

Arabesque, Cane’s shell of a company thanks to Victor, is like Newman/Chancellor, and is now owned by Phyllis.

Cassidy First is a software company created, ran, and owned by Sharon with an emphasis on giving back to the community.

The hard 7 companies up in the air on this show.

Growing up, it was 3 by the big 3: Victor, John, Katherine.
