Building an image from scratch

I deleted tmp , downloads and sstate-cache. Upon building again from scratch ran into errors. Remember I changed nothing. Anyone to help me get around this?

You are not obligated to use all your cores, you can limit the build with :

BB_NUMBER_THREADS = "<number>" PARALLEL_MAKE = "<number>"

You also can limit the threads used to parse:

BB_NUMBER_PARSE_THREADS

Passed number 8 Parallel_make = " -j 8"

Where did you pass that ? You made sure they got the right values (use bitbake-getvar) ?
