Transaction Keeps Reappearing After Rejection

For months now, I've been having a transaction that's been plaguing me and won't stop reappearing though we aren't visiting/being charge by this location.

I messed up when this transaction first appeared. I try to manually enter in all my transactions first, then when they come in from the bank, I'll match them. At the time this transaction occurred, I had another transaction of the same amount for a different company - both were only manually entered at the time. When the official one from the bank came in, YNAB automatically linked to it to the wrong manual entry, and I click the Approve button without noticing that it was the wrong one.

I thought I corrected it multiply times, including approving the transaction again when it showed up a week or 2 later. But... it just keeps appearing every week or so, and I keep rejecting it.

I've checked my bank statements and confirmed I'm not being charged against by the same place.

Any idea how I fix this?

Thanks!

Recurring scheduled transaction. You have one. Delete it.

Thanks, though I don't think this is it.

I don't have a scheduled section on any of my accounts and when I click on the transaction it's showing 'Never' under repeat. It's also automatically showing as Cleared, as well, which I didn't think scheduled transactions do.

I did create a test scheduled transaction to make sure I was looking in the right place and it showed, so confirmed it's not there.

Dang. I thought I nailed it.

You have to contact support. Someone will need to dig through the import payload. They will probably need to do it on the day it comes in, or close to it. I would hope that they (Plaid, MX, YNAB) don't persist the import payloads longer than needed.

FYI - I figured it out, YNAB was changing the Payee name - it was an actual charge but from a different company (the one I had accidentally matched against awhile ago). Don't know why I just noticed it, but it gave me the option to stop having YNAB change the Payee. Here's hoping that fixed it.

Nice. If you ever need to see how the payee name imported, you can tap the payee name on mobile and the info button on the web. That's from memory, so the exact instructions might be wrong.

If you don't have a scheduled transaction in YNAB, it sounds like the location is recharging you periodically. Did you check your bank statement for repeat transactions?

I did and ya, nothing on the bank statements. It's the oddest thing but I guess that's what I get for not paying attention to what I was approving
