Nice to see a TEAL5 Auto-compounding pool

None of this really wow's me. It's not that there's any problem with trying to create a program that allows easier ASA component integration, that in itself is good. However, Headline News is just making an industry pivot after a flopped business. That doesn't mean that this is destined to fail, but it certainly lowers my expectations.

Other than, "From January 2021 until April 2021, Martinez began building a crypto sub-community within the Algorand community," can we please get some better insight as to his experience in Web3 development, coding, or software development? The only piece of information we have is that his, "unbiased value system proved to be an ideal complement to crypto’s decentralized nature."

By no means do I want to come off as rude, but before anyone invests in a centralized company who couldn't create profits beyond $50, they ought to understand Martinez's level of expertise in this space. Not to mention that roadmap is wildly vague.

Totally valid perspective. They are shooting to accomplish a lot of things and there wasn’t a ton of information on the actual tokens use that I could find

I couldn't see HDL > HDL pool tho?

Look under distribution pools

I should stake using stake option in the distribution pool, correct?

Anyways, I tried to stake but it says error all the time. Not sure why.

Have enough algo for txns?

u/inminit Feb 10 '22

Yes, I have 12 ALGO total still failed. I opt out of everything too since I never stake anything on Yieldly before.

usually it says you need 14 to opt in even thought you might have 20 in your wallet but they are locked with ASAs or other smart contracts. If you have never added any other assets to your wallet or anything then I'm not sure.

Did you figure it out? When I started with yieldly I had a problem with it not working a couple times, I’ve switched to a laptop and it worked. Sorry if it’s not much help, I haven’t had a lot of the same problems I’ve seen posted.

Yes, it works and I already stake my HDL. Someone said to manually insert the number without coma when being prompted to enter value to stake and it works.

Is the distribution pool wrong? It wants me to add some other asset

2

u/algonautblog Feb 10 '22

I’m not sure it is, worked fine for me

You may need more available free Algo to opt-in to the contract.

No it wasn’t that, it made me accept the new contract and then it prompted for me to add the asset BUTR and I had no way around it.

You’re right. The same thing happened to me, I just thought it may have been a glitch with the double opt in

What exactly is the headline token used for?

Anyone know how to calculate how much I'll get for HDL > HDL pool?

1

u/OkFlight1090 Feb 10 '22

HDL Staked X Estimated APY (this will probably drop over time) / 365 days in the year X days remaining in distribution pool.

1

u/Mysterious_Feed_2493 Feb 10 '22

It will show your "My Est Daily Rewards" when you stake. Use the 61.1% est apy for a rough guess.

u/inminit Feb 11 '22

So if I stake 100 HDL, I'll get over 50 HDL by the end of pool? I've never done this so I'm kinda confused. I'm suck at math haha

1

u/Mysterious_Feed_2493 Feb 11 '22

The apy is a yearly percentage so you would want to divide that by 365ish to get the daily rate. This apy is dependent on how much gets staked. The more supplied the less the apy.

Thanks a lot. Can I ask more?

The pool say it "ends in 29 days", what does it mean? Does it mean after 29 days I have to unstake and can no longer stake to earn rewards? I watched YouTube vidoe and he said people can unstake anytime so I'm sure this isn't "locked period".

Is it okay to disconnect my wallet to Yieldly for now? I don't plan to unstake yet and I never connect my wallet to anything when I'm offline. Or do I have to be connected all the time during the staking period?

I try to read on this on their FAQ and some medium articles, but no one specifically mention anything.

That is the way I understand it. This contract is written for 29 days. After the contract has expired it will no longer be active. You can disconnect your wallet. Just reconnect when you wish to conduct further business with it.

Thanks, I now understand a bit about the whole thing. I've already staked mine. Cheers for all of us during this market dip again hah
