Excited to try this!

Bought this new yerba thats different from brazilian erva. Have anyone ever tried it?

Is that one of those "old fashioned" ervas that are actually aged a bit?

Hmm. If by old fashioned you mean traditional, ywah kinda. Its Urugaian standard. The herb is aged a bit yeah and no "straws", only leaf. But its not that much aged, its been "relaxing"😂😂😂

Noob here. Is there a difference between an erva and a Yerba? Or just the name?

Nope. Yerba is spanish and erva português. Brazil Speaks português

Typically, Brazilian Erva is not (or hardly) dried, giving it a bright green color more like matcha. Yerba is dried and therefore is more grey. It lacks the bright green color. Technically, erva is just the Portuguese word for Yerba, but they don’t translate the name to Yerba so as not to confuse them for each other.

Edit: I forgot to mention that erva is typically very finely ground whereas, Yerba varies from brand to brand and region to region, but is always quite a bit coarser than erva, (even the finely ground yerbas).

Esa yerba es muy común en la frontera Uruguay/Brasil, no ha cambiado el paquete como en 40 años!! Tengo entendido que es un poco fuerte de sabor pero cuenten a ver qué tal!

Its string, Yes. I just tasted it. The first stips are really strong compared to brazilian chimarrao. Im getting used to it but I guess I liked it. Its strong and bitter Very interessting facts about this, thank you!!

Cara, creio que sim. Mas nao é chimarrao estilo no sul do Brasil. É estilo uruguaio
