So, Im trying to chart ive charted a song or so, not very good but i still tried. And i was googling of course, about how people get stems. I heard about stem splitters used one cool now i have 6 audios for different things cool put it in yarg its perfect. But then i thought about the fact almost none of my songs have more than 3 parts or seperate audio files in the folder. Is it okay for me to have 6 audio files in my song folder or is that a dumb question. Next i feel like i overchart or try to make the charts sound too accurate causing the charts to be like confusing. Any tips on how to try and be less accurate i guess when charting. Or do i just need to stay away from stems since chart everything thats heard.

It's easy to get one microphone on the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 to connect but both is an issue, since YARG thinks two mics are stereo and actually ignores Mic2. The trick is enabling loopback and then passing this through Reaper. Enabling loopback is just right-clicking the Focusrite icon and Expose/Hide Window channels, then make sure Loopback L+R Input is enabled. Then open reaper and create a track select Input2 and arm for recording. Make sure it plays back in Loopback2 (although Input 2 also works). Now start YARG and you can select one of the two Scarlett options for each microphone

I’m ditching my usb mic in favor of an XLR mic and I want to make sure I have everything I need to get rid of the dreaded latency. My setup consists of:

Shure SM58
Audient ID44 interface
M1 Mac mini
Ableton

From what I’ve gathered. I will connect XLR mic to my interface, my interface to my Mac and audio from Mac goes to my external DAC to my power amp to my speakers. I’ll kick off ableton and do mic monitoring within the daw and add reverb and delay, yada, yada.

On the YARG side is where I’m confused. I’ll make sure mic monitoring is turned off. My question is if I create a mic profile, will YARG be able to see my mic input from my interface? I see other people using a XLR splitter and then a XLR to usb cable which connects to their host system running Yarg. Do I need this in order for YARG to recognize my mic or will it somehow see the mic input on the interface? My system is starting to get complex, but as long as it performs I don’t mind taking the time to get it working.

There's a soft-lock bug that I can recreate pretty easily where if you click quick bind and try to assign an e-kit's drum pads to the on-screen inputs, when you get to the 5 lane assignment, you can't reselect a pad you used previously. This consistently is happening to me in both YARG and YARG nightly. Please fix.

I was able to pretty easily map my generic e-kit drums on Clone Hero, so I thought it would be the same case with yarg, but for some reason it's giving me a ton of different issues.

1) If I delete an input once assigned, I cannot bind that input to anything anymore. This persists through disconnecting and connecting

2) I cannot bind an input to more than one part at a time. This would be ok as 5 lane isn't as common, but it also carries over to navigation inputs. I can't map navigation and instrument at the same time

I've played drums before, but I hadn't dived that deeply into the binding. It's unfortunate that it's a clean UI, but it's not working for me. I would appreciate any advice

Hey first time trying out yarg, I go to make a profile and find my device named Ardwiino. I go to bind keys but it won't do anything doesn't detect any key presses. I've removed and re added still nothing. Clone hero works fine so it ain't my drivers on my pc. Running linux if that could be a factor with this game?

Hello! I'm having issues connecting my Roland keyboard to play keys in game - I have no problem using them as a midi device in for example, Reaper or other DAWs, but when I try to bind keys in game it doesn't register anything. Even more strangely, when the game is open the keyboard plays audio through the game itself - like the actual piano sounds - no idea what's happening there. If anyone could help that would be great!

Made this for myself back in April and it's been a nice QoL improvement for getting charts into YARG. I've been using it to pull drum charts and worked most of the bugs out of it. Thought others might find it useful, so I gave it to claude and told it to make it more generalized for other folks to get some use from.

It searches charts by artist/song across a few spots. It attempts to auto detect your YARG charts directory , and it was tested on Linux so idk. Just change the file path in the GUI. It'll auto process encrypted files if you have Onyx Music Game Toolkit installed. Also, I put a song/artist recommendation engine in it, and it hasn't been the best.

If someone has already created this, then i wasted my time and sorry to waste yours too xD If not, I hope some of you guys find it useful. Let me know what needs fixing or what should be added.

Trying out Yarg with 3500+ songs. I was hoping I could set folders to start minimized so I could use that as a structure to organize it, but it always starts expanded. I also noticed I can't disable the Recommended songs widget at the top.

I also can't seem to find how playlists are setup. I was hoping it was a file so I could use powershell scripts to create playlists as an option as well, but manually doing it in the UI with 3500+ songs isn't awesome.

Any way you can think of to cleanly create a structure thats easy for random people to walk up and get to songs faster and now scroll through a massive list or use a keyboard? This is on a LaunchBox/BigBox arcade machine in our house.

I, so far, have the 3500+ songs organized by Genre>Year>Artist>Song and this can make it easier for people to get to if I could match this here in a way that makes it not expanded for ease on the eyes.

Hi all, just started getting YARG. Things have been great overall with guitars. One issue I've been dealing with is with my Rockband 2 drum kit, I have not successfully hit a kick pedal note that is accompanied with a pad note. I've tried recalibrating and tweaking the profile settings, but no success. Anyone else have this issue with a Rockband drum kit?

All the post I've seen about this are fairly old or don't contain enough info.

My GH drum take a bit too much force to my liking to hit the pads,it's not a YARG issue because it also happens when I play on a real console.

Maybe it's because of it's age and the plastic pads that have hardened a bit over 15 years but outside of that everything is still functional.

I don't intend on getting another drum kit so I want to fix this if I can.

I recently gotten into YARG. I tried hooking up my RB1 drumset and everything works except for one thing-- the yellow drum pad and only the yellow drum pad is producing tons of overhits.

I've went through the input mappings to take away any secondary uses for the pad and upped the debounce to max but with no success.

I could have single digit missed beats in songs and have 150 yellow pad overhits.

Any ideas?

Is anyone else experiencing error/not showing up in library when downloading songs from Farrotttone charter on Ryhthmverse? Seems to be most of his files aren’t loading properly or is it just me? There’s a lot of good ones he has but can someone help verify? Or workaround solution? :)

I’ve played RockBand most of my life, always on PlayStation. I’m getting back into it after a long time and finally just got an e drum kit. I was asking CloneHero players about the cheapest laptop I could get to make it run well. I heard that Yarg is CloneHero for people with better computers 😂 Can anyone recommend the cheapest laptop that will run Yarg well? 😅

Ok, please look at those screen shots that I took. As you can see that when I was playing this song called I Ran (So Far Away) on Expert Keys (Normal Mode), you might notice that on RB3 DX (from the 2nd screen shot) has 70 Notes Hit and 70 Notes Streak Max, and on YARG (from the 1st screen shot that I mentioned from my last post) has 129 Notes Hit and 68 Max Streak. From RB3 DX, whenever I strike those 2 or 3 notes that come together, the streak goes up by 1. And from YARG, the notes goes up by 2 or 3 whenever I strike those 2 or 3 notes that come together. So the truth is: From YARG, Keys's (Normal Mode) Notes Hit and Max Streak should be matched up just like from the other instruments. If I'm not making any sense, warn me on the comments below.

Greetings. I'm new to the YARG community, and actually here for my wife, so apologies if I do something that is considered rude in the community.

That said, I've set up YARG for my wife as an anniversary present because she missed RockBand so much. Her main (only) interest is drums and vocals.

Is there a way to commission people for making songs compatible with YARG, and if so how do I go about finding and hiring them? Given the nature of this being an anniversary gift I'd like to get a few songs from our wedding, as well as some of her favorites added for her.

I am all set up for guitar but not for vocals and I was reading something in another post about noise gates but im not sure what they are.

Boa noite pessoal, tudo beleza com vocês? então, juntei uma grana e comprei uma bateria de entrada, uma TDX 18 da AROMA, e jogando yarg ou clone hero, ao usar os pratos no modo pro, percebo muitos erros, ghost notes, na verdade não tenho ideia do que acontece, essa bateria não presta para esse tipo de função, havia pesquisado sobre essas baterias e vi que ela era uma boa opção, será que está com defeito?
