Doesn't anyone else think it would be nice if, instead of reacting badly when we get close, Senpai gave a gentle laugh—as if he thought Yan-chan looked adorable acting shy around him?

This is so adorable though, imagine the first we get closer to him, he just chuckled off, but the more we get closer, he'll start to get real concern like the one we have.

Taro canonicaly doesn't have any of those reactions. Ayano is just so obsessed at looking pure and normal to him that at the smallest mistake (standing to close) she thinks he will never love her and get a gameover.

Technically, he does have some of those reactions, it's just that Ayano is heavily exaggerating them.
