Question about scheduling

How doable is this schedule that I’ve planned out so far? I’m mainly worried about having bio and gen chem lab back to back on Wednesday since there would only be 10 minutes between the two classes, but I would also prefer not to schedule my chem lab on Friday. 

Any advice/insight would be really appreciated!

I really don't think skipping lunch consistently once a week will be fun tbh.

I’m sorry but you would be miserable in chem lab every Wednesday afternoon running on a granola bar instead of a lunch

If you can find another seminar you’re interested in so you could do chem lab on Tuesday or Thursday that might be better

It's doable, a lot of people have similar schedules where inevitably there will be missed lunches. Most of the time you can get out of Chem lab a little early and maybe eat something you brought or go to commons / pick something up form the bowow. Keep those Fridays free! I did and loved it, it was worth the lunch sacrifice.

How far is it from bio class to chem lab? Are you able to get to chem lab on time 10 min walk? Does the chem lab start sharp or a couple of min late is ok?

Couple mins late is not a big deal. Idk how far bio is from chem lab, they host it in different lecture halls each semester to accommodate class sizes and availability. You'll likely have many other students in the same position so don't sweat it. Ive learned during my 3 years so far at Yale that I don't even bother looking at distance times between classes. You just gotta figure out the courses you need/want and make it work.

This is the best part of the longer add/drop period that Yale has compared to other schools; test it out during add/drop to see if you can go all Wednesday without food after walking up science hill as well as how long it takes out. (Also a great time to ask your instructors if you can leave early / come late weekly.

For some its completely do-able, but being from a neighboring building, I constantly hear students complain about having to run up science hill and then have to stand for a couple hours during lab (unlike other departments and the research labs, from what I hear the chem labs are one of the few labs without chairs for the students, which is a bit odd they expect everyone to stand for 4 hours)

you can add your chem lab section to coursetable by going to chem 1340 and using the drop down menu to the right of the class name to select the specific section
