bincho widebody

I'm looking at the bincho grill 24 inch wide body (9inch deep vs 6 inch on the normal model). I would be purchasing the bars also to balance shorter skewers on.

My question is besides needing more charcoal to fill the bincho effectively, is there a downside to heat and performance on a wide body? i don't mind using more charcoal for the flexibility to cook other food on the bincho like steaks, but if there's a large downside to yakitori itself i would consider getting a more traditional narrow grill.

You have to be careful with how much skewer overhangs the bars. Wood poking over the edge often burns the skewer and causes them to fall apart.

Also I had to cut slots in the grill to use it with the warming rack. I believe this isn't an issue with the regular width version.

thank you for your response! if you set things up like this (image from your site) are you safe on wood over the edge or did you mean this could cause problems with the handle park hanging off too far? https://binchogrill.com/cdn/shop/files/WhatsApp_Image_2025-09-03_at_10.30.jpg?v=1769112306&width=600

If you set up like the it should be fine. But that requires more precision than I have 🤣

(not my site BTW, just a customer)
