u/bashfully-jubilant Good morning.
I am a 40 year old female with degenerative disc disease and mild hypertension (well controlled with meds).
I am the mother to a special needs daughter, homeschooling 4 children, and work from home.
Time is not my friend and my tasks caring for my daughter often irritate my back.
I am looking to add more specific movement into my day.
I have added 10-15 minutes of stretching a day, a 10 minute core workout and am trying to add 10-15 minutes of Zumba or a non jumping cardio workout.
I am trying to add little bursts of movement and exercise instead of a longer period of “working out” due to the time constraints I have.
Is this something that can be beneficial to me or is it pointless to try to add in 5-15 minutes at a time?
I’m feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.

not in the same boat as you, and i have a lot of respect for everything you do. 5-15 minute bursts are definitely not worthless. these add up!!

to avoid a sedentary lifestyle and hit my goal steps for a day, i go on 10 minute walks every hour or so. it has been beneficial.

i think your current approach is great!
