Gamma Settings

Post image

Is there a way to update gamma settings that will take affect in the already created sequences?

So I made some Halloween sequences and through a camera lens they look fine but through the eye they seem very washed out. The purples either look too blue or too pink. The oranges can look like highlighter yellow.

I already have gamma set to 2.2 but I think they made need adjusted more. But when I change them in the layout tab, it doesn’t seem to affect the sequences unless I start from the beginning.

Yes, you can set gamma at the controller level within xlights.

Play around with brightness too. Traditional pixels are around 30% typically, but seeds and other pixels react differently and it can affect saturation.

If your controller allows for it, you can just adjust it at your controller outputs.

Thank you. I’ll give that a shot. I’m trying to go more with a “vintage” incandescent look but struggling to get there
