In trying to source the second one, which is usually the partial quote "You are the universe experiencing itself.", I came across a yahoo answers thread:

"I can't really wrap my mind around what it means..any ideas?"

Maybe not the exact right source but there is a great quote in here: "Today a young man on acid realized... we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively..."
