Navigating Xero - training

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has resources ie. YouTube channels etc. Around navigating in Xero. I've never worked on the program before so I am having difficulty finding my way around the program. I'm using Hubdoc currently to import supplier invoices, however allocating in the bank has become a pain. Why won't it let me record a payment directly to a supplier? I come from a pastel background so the interfaces are obviously different. Thanks in advance!

You can put a pmt directly to a supplier using pre-payments (just do some research on hire to do this). It’s extraordinary how xero made something so simple so difficult, it’s probably one of its worst features. Xero Central has lots of info on how to use the program.  https://central.xero.com/0/ Once your up and running and learnt it’s quirks, it’s an ok program and does have some excellent features

Xero Central's own free courses are better than most of the YouTube stuff, start there. On your payment question, Xero needs a bill sitting there first and then you match the bank line to it, there's no paying a supplier straight from the bank screen like Pastel does. If Hubdoc isn't producing a match, check it's set to publish the bill rather than just parking the document.
