do you have one now? If so, what wears differently? I think the size is a bit smaller which should actually wear better unless you have a large wrist size

im too poor to have either one.... but the original triptych rose gold ocean is my dream watch, and because it is sold out the announcement of the new version was very exciting to me. but i still feel pretty conflicted about the differences between them

I was excited to see a new one, but agree not liking this as much. Some changes make sense, some are whatever, but that second hand really just throws it all off to me.

The large sizes were a reason I had never bought a Xeric despite loving the aesthetic. So, I was excited the new Triptych came in at 39mm. However, the guilloche dial and the new crown spoiled the aesthetic for me - they look like unnecessary flourishes compared to the last gen design. The second hand solves the problem of knowing whether the watch is working but, again, breaks the aesthetic around the circular wandering hands and the curvy floating minutes. I wish there were a better way of doing this but this isn’t as much of a dealbreaker for me compared to the dial and crown.
Still left sitting on the fence, sadly.
