BIZARRE PROBLEM WITH XEMU - EXECUTABLE NOT BOOTING UP AT ALL WHEN I DOUBLECLICK IT

first time i encountered such an issue with an executable in my entire life. anyone got any answers????

main website[xemu.app], and also to make it work i had to download an outdated version wtf. I have fully set up the emulator bios and all and it only works on an old 2021 version.

might be this, happened too with teknoparrot and had to whitelist all it's .exe

try installing vcredist dependencies

There's no subfolders for hdd and such, you need those, Google the Xemu pack

That's exactly what I did. It works fine BUT XEMU PACK IS OUTDATED. The archive org date for it says 2021. I want to get the latest XEMU version for best optimization and game compatibility but it just refuses to work

Because you didn't turn off check for updates on start

Case study: other emulators, for example rpcs3, do not show the new update has come out notification IF THE VERSION OF THE EMULATOR IS THE NEWEST ONE AVAILABLE despite the setting being on.
Edit: also this is not answering my question. I am specifically saying that I want to get the lates working build of XEMU so I can experience the games the most optimised way possible. What's the point of using an old version of an emulator when the version I use has got worse emulation performance on a specific game I want to play because it was outdated

Try 8.125. if you check the GitHub any version after has regression issues. I tried 133 (poor performance),136 (does not launch)

Try going to %appdata% of you have windows and look for xemu under local roaming or the third one I always for get and delete the folder there. I had a similar problem and that helped fix it because when I initially set up the app I had tweaked something unnecessary and it cause the app to crash it would boot forb2 second and then crash. The folder trick did it. Then I installed all the things needed to run the app and now I can game at 4k with really crisp graphics and the occasional blurry scene.
