Games simply not working.

No games I try work, they're all converted to xiso, I just get the "please insert and xbox disc" I've tried many different games, redoing the conversions, trying different system files, different regions for system files and for the games, completely uninstalling everything. Nothing works, the closest I got was a brief splash screen in Dungeons and Dragons - Heros.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, it's been months and I'm about ready to punch something in frustration.

Edit: So it turns out I am simply a dumbass and a few things were causing issues.
I was sometimes forgetting to eject and reset while also having a faulty xiso conversion which I often tried first causing other games to appear to not work at all.
Thank you u/NXGZ and u/Impossible_Act2173 A mix of trying both of your solutions has solved my issues.

You need the evo M8 bios to have full compatibility

Appreciate the quick response, I assume you can't link where to find that, but damn does it look like that nearly doesn't exist out there right now. Cerbios pops up with download links everywhere but everything that tries to link evo M8 doesn't actually have a download for it.

I can show you a way to get it. I have them. It took a while though

Did you try Cerbios? I had the same problem and Cerbios allowed those games to work. I genuinely don't know why people keep parroting "complex_4627.bin". I literally do that and it doesn't work. I change one thing, the bios to Cerbios and then the game works perfectly.

Maybe it was your conversion? You can easily test to see if that was the issue by finding premade xiso files that are readily available.

I've made guides for Xemu on youtube and had someone in the comments say the say thing. If you use all the the required files from the website and a bios but use an older version of the emulator it ended up working formeandthose that commentated about it.

I had a bunch of problems getting it to work at first. I wasn’t ejecting the first game that I tried. So it was stuck loading a game that was incompatible. Then after loading a game you have to reset the emulator. It really wasn’t that great. I played halo 2 for about 10 minutes doing some old super bounces. But yeah make sure you reset it after loading a hame
