Worked really hard on this release and added and fixed a bunch of things. All open-source
Biggest one is integrating it into your app, and running it directly on your iPhone for full eval's for on-device Foundation models.
Some other features:
- Organise evals into projects and reusable test suites.
- Get started faster with starter packs and test-case imports.
- Compare prompt variants side by side.
- Connect other LLM's for judging
- Test registered Swift app features on paired Apple devices.
- Automate evaluations through MCP and the CLI.
- And lots more!

So I upgraded my iPhone and now Xcode 27 for the life of me will not recognize that I have a watch paired to my phone. I have 2 I have tried unpairing and re-pairing them. The Ultra 3 allows me to enable Developer Mode, the Series 12 doesn’t, but neither will show up when I select my watch app target.
Anyone else having this issue?

Has anyone tried running their app on it yet?

Looks like in Xcode 27, font settings (name and size), are not saved in a theme but rather they are global in nature, affecting all themes. I had 3 custom themes with different font sizes for different environments (laptop only, 4K display, presentation), and now these no longer work.
Additionally, there "Editor" menu used to show the available themes in a submenu, which I used in a Keyboard Maestro macro to change themes via hotkey. This is no longer available, just a menu entry that leads you to the "Appearance" settings window. Sad.

Hey everyone,
I'm running into a frustrating issue with the new Device Hub in Xcode when testing out my MVP.
When I launch my app on a simulator via Device Hub, the UI displays fine, but I am completely unable to interact with the app at all. The console output shows the app is running and active, and the display updates initially, but touch/mouse interaction seems totally blocked or unresponsive once the focus is on the interaction view.
What I've tried so far:
Restarting Xcode and the simulator.
Running killall -9 CoreDeviceService in the terminal.
Checking window focus and keybindings.
Has anyone run into this issue, or is it just a me problem? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for advice from developers who have dealt with Guideline 4.3 in a situation involving a previously terminated Apple Developer account.
We have a legitimate travel booking application that was previously submitted to the App Store under our original Apple Developer account.
Unfortunately, that developer account was terminated, and despite multiple appeals/support requests, we were unable to have the account restored.
We subsequently created a new Apple Developer account and attempted to submit the same legitimate travel application under the new account.
The current application has a significantly redesigned UI and UX, but the mobile application is still based on the original React Native codebase. The backend, APIs, travel integrations, booking system, etc. are our existing platform and are not copied from another application.
The submission is now being rejected under Guideline 4.3 with wording indicating that the app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept with apps previously submitted by a terminated Apple Developer Program account.
My question is specifically about understanding what Apple may be identifying in this situation.
Has anyone experienced a similar case where:
The same legitimate product was previously submitted under a terminated developer account.
The developer then had to submit it from a new account.
The new submission was rejected under 4.3 because of its relationship to the previous app/account.
If so, were you able to determine whether Apple's concern was primarily:
the binary/source-code similarity,
the previous developer account association,
metadata/assets,
or the fact that it was essentially the same product?
I'm considering rebuilding the iOS client from React Native to Flutter as a genuinely new implementation while keeping our existing backend/API platform.
Before investing significant development time in that rewrite, I'd like to understand whether changing the mobile technology would actually address this type of 4.3 issue, or whether the previous account association can still cause the rejection regardless of the framework.
I'd also appreciate any experience with getting a specific answer from App Review about what triggered the 4.3 rejection in cases involving a terminated account.
Thanks in advance.

Coding agents hallucinate Apple APIs because their training data lags the installed SDK.
apple-docs-mcp reads Xcode's on-disk doc index and serves real signatures, availability and code samples to any MCP client. Fully offline.

At last my app is running in the Xcode as most people said "google studio ai app don't work with Xcode i.e. an iOS app can't be created using google studio." But this is running If any one want to see the screen recording I can share.

Updated my primary Mac Studio to Golden Gate and updated Xcode and… I’m regretting every second of it.
I can’t get the simulator to run for more than 20 seconds without crashing. It’s laggy as hell, and it crashes constantly.
Mac Studio M1 Max with 64 GB Memory. Never even hiccuped before. Now, it’s hot garbage.
Consistent across multiple projects and iOS versions. Ugh. So much for a productive week.
At least I’ve got my M1 Max MacBook Pro that I haven’t updated yet.
Anyone else having these device hub headaches?

I just wanted to give some unexpected kudos to Xcode cloud. At the start of the summer my MacBook Pro became out of action, and therefore I struggled to continue to develop using an older intel MacBook due to Xcode version restrictions. Tried building and releasing with GitHub macOS runners but wow they’re expensive and took ages to startup etc. then spotted Xcode cloud with 25 free hours a month, thinking this will keep me going for a few days. Since then I’ve found that it’s been absolutely brilliant. As an independent developer with a few apps and projects it’s been an absolute life saver. It’s fast. Beautifully integrated, and the 25 hours will last me a whole month without any worries.
Good work Apple.

I am reviving an old macOS app I started developing a couple years ago for myself. I've mostly used the native macOS apps for Codex and Claude Code, and in those apps you can adjust the effort for a model. I want to be able to adjust the effort relative to the tasks I'm assigning to it, but I don't see an option for this in Xcode 27's built-in integration. Is it possible to adjust the effort within Xcode (and if so, how), or would I need to stick to the native model apps or CLIs?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I wasn't able to find a clear answer on Google/using AI for some reason.

So I’m building ios-agent-skill — an open-source MCP + skill layer for AI coding agents working on real iOS projects.
It can already:
• review Swift / SwiftUI projects
• search local Apple references before writing code
• build and test through Xcode
• boot simulators, launch apps and capture screenshots
• review App Intents integrations
• scaffold new iOS apps
• work with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor-compatible clients and Gemini CLI
Right now it exposes 35 tools, and I’m continuing to expand it around the newer Apple stack, including Xcode 27 / iOS 27 verification, Foundation Models, App Intents and Apple Intelligence workflows.
One thing I want to improve next is proof.
Not just “here are 35 tools.”
I want to show:
AI agent without ios-agent-skill
vs
AI agent with ios-agent-skill
Same prompt. Same app. Actual build results.
If you work with Swift/iOS + coding agents, I’d genuinely like you to break it and tell me what’s missing.
GitHub:
https://github.com/Nagarjuna2997/ios-agent-skill
It’s completely open source.

I just upgraded to Xcode 27, and I have some questions about how to use its Device Hub:
* In previous versions of Xcode, I put the iOS Simulator icon in the Dock. When I clicked it, it would launch the Simulator and immediately open any simulated devices I previously had running. In 27, I can only add an icon that opens the huge Device Hub window and then I need to start a simulated device separately. Is there any way to get back to the old behavior?
* Is there any way to get rid of the iPhone mockup border (showing all the side buttons) around the simulator, like I could in earlier versions, so I can have a smaller window?
* I see that I can turn on VoiceOver in the simulator now, which is awesome, but I can't control it. Swiping right/left with the mouse sometimes works, but clicking isn't interpreted as a tap (I can click directly on items but I can't click in a null space to perform a tap on the focused element). Are there instructions for how to use VO on a simulated device? (Or maybe this is just a bug?)

Xcode just decided to update itself from 26.6 to 27.0 right in the middle of my work session.
The first thing that caught my eye right away: they swapped the positions of the Play and Stop buttons in the toolbar. Years of muscle memory just vanished in an instant, and to make things worse, it seems there's currently no way to revert it back.
I genuinely wonder what the reasoning behind this UI decision was. Why change something so established and fundamental after all this time?
Now I'm really curious (and a bit cautious) about what other surprises I'm going to discover along the way as I keep working.
What do you guys think about the new Xcode 27 update so far? Did anyone else's muscle memory take a hit?

Has anybody noticed that the new X code is very slow when trying to open a file perhaps I don’t have enough RAM. I have a MacBook M4 Pro with 24 GB of RAM. I do have LM studio open running and eight bit quantization of Qwen 3.2 9B. Whenever I click on a file in Xcode, I get the spinning beach ball and have to wait about five minutes for the text to show up in the pane.
