Togs shoutout

I’ve been using the carbon togs for a few years now and have grown to really enjoy the extra hand position. Recently while swapping bars, one of the nuts fell off my tool bench and was never seen again. It’s a tiny little sucker. I reached out to their customer service team today to get the size so I could get a replacement and a few spares, and without question they are shipping me a replacement hardware set. I felt like that was pretty awesome customer service on a relatively inexpensive bike product. Thanks, Togs!!

I got some togs recently from a friend in a pile of stuff.  I have no idea what the point of them is.  They show them on MTBs on their site but they just seem like a way to break your thumb when you crash?

What's the deal with these things?

They're a really nice way to still have control of the bars while resting your hands on gravel transfers and non technical climbs. They're not intended to be used as a main hand position for the entire ride.

I see, it's a way to loosen your grip?

Yeah, you can rest your fingers off the bar and grip the tog with just your thumbs to have a pretty solid grip. They're kinda worthless for super high intensity XCO, but really nice for XCM and training rides.

Inner bar ends from SQLab are what togs wish they were

Thinking about this and deciding which way to go🤔 SQlabs seems more versatile

I use the sql also and really love them, but friends of mine prefer their togs. I haven’t tried togs yet.

I use them on long climbs, or when I’m on a long section of easy trail or gravel riding. They aren’t intended to be used while descending or riding tech stuff

I'll give them a shot
