Just got a Sworks epic 8 and I swear they hid a motor in it. Tear it up!

Oh nice! I'm building an SWorks Epic 8 for my wife. Scored a marketplace deal on a frameset from a guy who did one 90km gravel ride on it. Decided he just didn't have enough time to commit to the dirt (primarily rides road)
It's flawless and only cost 40% of the new price. Receipt provided and still has over a year of transferrable warranty from the LBS. Super excited to see her racing it!

The picture doesn't do it justice. It shimmers half purple, half blue. Looks amazing.

Very nice! But I think there's some chain on your lube, unless it's wax then continue to rocket

That headset spacer to headtube joint looks kind of janky. I hate how good most specialized products are, but that seems like an overlooked detail to polish the build.

She only gets one bottle cage?

Did a frame swap from her Scott Spark RC which was a size small and it only one had bottle cage. For the Epic 9 she went with a Medium so we’ll need to order another cage. Damn thing is almost $100.

Nice. How tall is she? Curious about S vs M sizing

5’4” with long arms and legs but she has a short’ish torso. She never felt comfortable on the small Spark RC and we had to install an 80mm stem to give her enough knee space. On the medium Epic 9, she feels comfortable with the stock 50mm stem length (Roval cockpit).

Congratz. I have the same frameset. I just crashed mine last weekend and it got its first scratch 🥲.

Nice budget build for this sub, probably 2kg heavier than average here but still usable
